Perhaps the PH collective web design gurus can cast their eyes over this article and website.

If I had my own website what would i get for 113 million? Would it be 52 months late?

It does seem an incredible amount of money..

Absolute joke innit. I could probably employ and arm enough mercenaries with that much money to invade the U.K and have a good chance of winning.

It just goes to show that “austerity” didnt go far enough if this senseless waste still continues.

Im all for outsourcing in the right areas but why MOD recruitment??, surely this can be done in house and run a few tv ads at a tenth of the cost of the shambles Capita have made of it.

Just had a quick look on my phone, and the styling could do with tweaking - especially in the footer. Oh well I guess they were already 52 months late smile

rofl

Outsourcing giant Capita was awarded the £495m contract for Army recruitment in 2012 - but has failed to hit soldier recruitment targets every year since.

What a dumb comment.

Where has any ‘brexiteer’ said that? Implicit in a leave vote is a distrust of government.

It seems more likely that remainers are the ones with unjustified trust in inept political institutions. By definition.

rofl Third reply to the thread and you've decided to be a complete throbber and try to make this part of your anti-Brexit agenda. What an absolute tool.

It's not the thread for it.

Please find a brexit thread, plenty about.

Hey don't shoot the messenger, deal with the message.

So you have %110 trust in the Gov to implement a David Davis "Technology Solution" to the N.I border issue ?? Really ??

We are all tired of Brexit. Discuss it elsewhere.

What is more important here is the fact that we have yet another example of a government inspired "IT Solution" creating problems rather than solving them - and costing way more than it should.

Capita were involved in the run up to the referendum, and that was what one of their spokespeople stated was it?

Brexit supporters are allegedly the dumb ones!

What a tool laugh

Please, please don't tell me that this is just for Army recruitment and there is a separate system for RN and RAF!

Quite - they could probably have developed a "COTS" (Customized Off The Shelf) for a fraction of the cost but no doubt insane and inappropriate requirements spec precluded that.

You also have to remember that in these deals the supplier responds to the requirements laid out. And in govt procurement / govt departments it is not in the self interest to keep things simple or the cost down, or the size of the department constrained, lest you do yourself. Success at many levels is measured by the size of the empire...

Suppliers will often put in a non-compliant (much cheaper) bid when they cut through to the real requirements but then don't get downselected as their scoring is too far from the compliant spec. And then either way, the buying department changes the requirements, or reorganises driving endless change requirements which of course the supplier laps up...

It takes two to tango.

Inefficiencies and duplication are rife in the services.
