Seen in the news today about the 50 or so MP making a complaint about being called names outside parliament. It just stinks of typical double standards to me.

How many times have we seen left wing protesters calling people Nazis and all other sorts of names? I can't remember the MPs saying anything about that. In fact the opposite I remember with Trump's visit a number of politicians saying that we in this country have the right to protest and speak out and should do so and Trump should expect it.

The likes of Anna Soubry can fk right off, boohoo someone called you a nazi, get over it.

The only time I've thought these protests are out of order is when they go to the MPs homes.

Wasn't it McDonnell who called for certain MPs to be harassed at all times in public?

Was he ever taken to task for that comment?

What about when they stab and kill them outside their constituency office?

In the good old days we could pelt them with rotten tomatoes and eggs.

I suspect after all their inane baying and name calling in Parliament they'd have developed a thicker skin.

If they start doing that they should probably step down as an MP.

I just made this point on the EU negotiation thread.

Ed Milliband was on TV this morning having a go at these bullies. Where was his outrage at McDonnell's comments at the time?

I do like to keep this link handy to remind the Corbyni-ite thugs of his promise - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-34392427...

I'm all for a bit of peaceful protesting...but a lot of these so called protesters are among the ever growing band of the great unwashed feral scum who are quite happy to make being complete assholes their career whilst claiming maximum benefits.

It's about time they were given a good slap IMO.

Once while out having Sunday Lunch with his family as well IIRC............I could be wrong but I don't recall hearing Mrs Soubrey's outcry about that...................Goose and gander comes to mind.

The place is beside the point. Was he not with his family? As an outspoken politician Farage is fair game for a bit of full frontal bantercourse - family members not so. They were all subjected to the 'protest' and were chased out of the pub, including Farage's two younger children, at which point Farage's car was jumped on (criminal damage). I wasn't there to see it happen so if this account is inaccurate blame reporting in The Guardian.

There is a difference, though I don't expect it will be acknowledged on here.

Farage has made a career from courting controversy and blowing dog whistles (a certain 'historically inspired' poster springs to mind) and as such, it shouldn't be a surprise to him when some of that comes back to bite him on the behind - not that that justifies the pub incident.

Quite so, it does not justify the mob behaviour that Sunday.

The two girls aged 10 and 15 became separated from their parents and were only located safe and sound later on. Then there's the criminal damage.

Are you saying the protestors calling Anna Soubry (Conservative) a Nazi are not left wing? Or that she is not right wing enough for them?

There's a difference in the protesters aswell - did they call Nigel garage a Nazi? Now don't get me wrong I don't think any MPs should be the target of abuse but did you see the protesters outside the pub Nigel Farage was in?

I will add if his children were scared and of they did damage his car then it is way out of order.

Soubrey is no innocent either and is a very opinionated, divisive, person as is Farage also..........however there is a thin line between abuse and protesting / freedom of speech so whatever rules are applied should be applied equally to all and not just people who you and I don't like or agree with their views....................Family members being harassed is a 100% no no regardless!
