Does Instagram preclude the use of paragraphs?
A couple of days late, but yes it does. The formatting of Instagram isn't particularly helpful towards page layout, especially if being typed on a phone.

A lot of words just to say "support".

Personally I don't support thugs, left or right-wing, marching up to politicians in the street and yelling words like traitor, quisling or Nazi in their faces. That goes for Soubry, Cox, JRM, Farage or any other public figure.
we are not talking about support the question should it be illegal?

how about Whispering - "traitor" or twofaced lier" as you walk next to them?
The latter comment would be quite true of just about any politician, so that’s fine.

I’m amazed that what really appeared to be an easily avoidable, if not staged, incident could cause such outrage.

My first thoughts were that this is just one of what will become a series of ‘incidents’ concerning MPs in attempts to relieve the contempt that most of the public hold them in because of their recent shows of incompetence.

Can I ask what is it about that particular situation you think is not acceptable or were laws should be apply?

Is it the name calling, Or the fact that they follow someone, or a combination of both?

If it's the name calling next time someone cuts you up in your car and you call them a name. Should they be able to have you arrested?

If it's following people and possibly even by being a big bloke that means intimidating. In which case people like bailiffs and journalists would be in trouble.

If it's both which is this case I believe it is then fine. But who decided the level? Is there are required distance or time of someone following you?
laws work well when there is a clear line with clear guidelines. As soon as you get laws that are ambiguous they can and do get misused.

We can all look at the footage and say their behaviour is wrong. But then you must think of the consequences of making laws or even how you would even create laws that would combat it.
And then if you do so then them laws must be used fairly and equally.

Joint Secretary of Unite Against Fascism calls on Teresa May to "shoot herself"

If calling a MP a Nazi is an offence, then surely calling on them to kill themselves is too?

For the French it’s a source of identification. In the UK it’s all about health and safety.

Whilst John McDonnell stands in the wings waiting for his turn

Funny how these "anti fascists" always seem to believe in using violence and intimidation against their political opponents

Since one of the perps has been arrested and bailed I assume the police will be doing the same to the extreme left wingers that barracked and crowded JRM off the lecturn causing him to abandon a speech he was giving at a university last year?

Need to read a history book my friend.

They may have been poorly led and a bit slow to modernise their forces when they needed to but they they certainly were not ‘gutless cowards’ when it came to the actual fighting.

Now, the Italians on the other hand...

It’s a bit different though isn’t it. A group of big blokes, physically intimidating a middle aged lady (who i’m sure could look after herself, but that’s irrelevant )
Scum, hope they make an example of them..

Some on this thread are absolutely desperate to defend and make excuses for someone attacking an MP on the "other side" of an issue to them. False equivalence is their favoured tactic.
