The FAQ page is interesting: https://www.marchtoleave.com/faq
It seems one is required to sign up even if joining the march & electing the poverty non-paying option. What if one just happened to be walking the dog at the same time/place as the march?
You won't have your gilet bleu or your cap. You'll never fit in.

I was thinking about it but it's gone colder now. Last week was lovely.

The sign-up requirement is a) so they have your email / contact details and b) so they can claim 100,000 people (or however many) signed up to march when there's not that many on the road

Some of us are getting what we want . BREXIT . And I am so looking forward to it . Farage is a great person . He got the whole Government and country on their feet .

I like him . We should have him as Prime Minster .

When it comes to the 'gammon' term, does it only apply to older white men that voted to leave in the EU referendum, or does it apply to all older white men irrespective of nationality or voting preference?
Neither.

It's not about age, race, nationality or voting preference.
Not wishing to take this too far off topic, but what is gammon about then?
Is it simply the colour of the skin on the face?

I've read a few online descriptions for it, some seem to pin it to older leave voters.

It's a pejorative term for people who get all worked up, angry and shouty, now unless being worked up, angry and shouty is a race I'm not sure how on earth it could be racist.

Quite a decent summary of it here - https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/gam... . it may even have been originated by Dickens.

I posted this on another thread yesterday. It's only considered racist by snowflakes desperate to play to victim card.

'The meaning of that term--gammon,' said Mr Gregsbury, 'is unknown
to me. If it means that I grow a little too fervid, or perhaps even
hyperbolical, in extolling my native land, I admit the full justice
of the remark. I AM proud of this free and happy country. My form
dilates, my eye glistens, my breast heaves, my heart swells, my
bosom burns, when I call to mind her greatness and her glory.'

Like some of the Remaindeers on this thread you mean?

His Nigelness hasn't even got his boots on, yet some snowflakes are already in meltdown .

ah ok, got it.
So it covers any person who goes 'red' in the face from anger - irrespective of race and voting preference.

Yes, anyone can be gammon, left, right, remainers, leavers.

Just like Snowflakes, those to the right of the political spectrum are some of the biggest snowflakes people going.

Also where's anyone here on meltdown, most replies seem to be taking the piss.

Good for him . Can’t wait for Brexit to happen . We need a good shake up . This country need its Spine back .
its not quite Ian botham though is it?

Farage is a nobody that is still getting too much air time and respect as a political figure. File under Piers Morgan as loathsomeness personified.

You have to acknowledge that this politician has achieved a seismic change in the way U.K. does its politics. A good shake-up was long overdue, and of course the cherry on top of our cake - brexit. Well done nige, you get my vote anytime.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gammon_(insult)

"In 2018, it became particularly known as a term to describe middle-aged or older white men, particularly those on the political right or who supported Brexit"

So...age, race, voting preference and nationality all covered. If it's wrong why not edit Wikipedia?

Even as an ardent leave supporter I'm dismayed by the League of Gammon. I don't really want to be lumped in with people like Jeremy Clarkson and Nigel Farage, much less their tabloid reading analogues in real life.

This march is stupid. To Farage leaving the EU is just a self-imposed geas to avoid the fact that he'll never be an MP, the march is just a part of his ego trip.
