Is this just the latest choke from the supposedly pro-Brexit half of the Tory party? Looks to me like a tacit acceptance of a soft Brexit post May/Corbyn talks.
Tbf, the writing on your breakfast cereal box probably looks like that too.

Makes sense from my experience. Look at the vitriol filled posts in this thread from the usual suspects. Who cant debate the point, but just attack the poster. Or the posters source. Then resort to name calling or passive aggression.

As I said elsewhere on the forum, I've had 2 separate first dates in the last few months where the lady in question steered the conversation towards politics, then Brexit and then were visibly twitchy...

...when I explained that I voted Leave. laugh

In both cases they expressed surprise I would do such a thing. I guess I blew their mind (and sadly nothing else biggrin ) by not conforming to their stereotype of a Leave voter who shouted at clouds about "immigrants innit" rolleyes It mattered so much to them that I knew instantly that we wouldn't see each other again.
you need to hold fire on the admission of voting leave until a more interesting time in the relationship. imagine the reaction if one of said ladies was furry handcuffed to the bed ,just on the point of no return and you then tell them you voted leave. ride of your life i would imagine biggrin

Scottish independence: UK government 'will not grant indyref2 consent'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-po...

If Brexit happens, the United Kingdom increasingly looks certain to break up.

Wheels are already turning.

In order to satisfy an internal wrangle within the Tory party, they have placed the Union in grave jeopardy.

Just what have Brexiters done to this country?

And, just to understand why you are waving your shroud about quite so vigorously, what's so special or essential about the Union?

After all, I'd imagine most would agree that if a marriage no longer suits one party or another, it is better the parties split up and get the chance of an agreeable life apart in the future, rather than forcing them to stay together (probably in misery).

Brexit hasn't brought much new: various factions of Scots, Welsh and Irish (not to mention the Cornish) have been bhing about the Union since its formation, and about England even longer.

Sometimes I am quietly stunned by your levels of naivety Mr H123. Either that or you're being deliberately obtuse.
Ms Sturgeon and the SNP have but one goal in life - specifically to achieve Scottish independence. As such, ANY excuse would have been levied to lobby for another vote (sounds a bit similar to some Remainers)

Brexit is not that excuse. Scottish folk are not so foolish as to fall for the SNP protests about being dragged out of the EU against their will as an excuse for demanding Indyref2 when they know full well that the 2014 vote would have done the same, just as any future vote would do the same. It's rabble rousing of the worst kind, and as such something that I am sure you would rush to condemn..

You would prevent Scotland leaving the Union, if they so wished?
I can see a pattern forming here.

but Keef isn't an imaginary figure of fun. He is a footsoldier in the moron army which has empowered the right wing fanatic tory extreme.

A friend of mine recently went on a date after signing up to an online dating site. She had to make her excuses and Leave, as her potential suitor started a full on Gammonista rant about immigrants and taking back control before he had barely sat down.

I did wonder if it was any of the Leave zealots on here...!!!!

Anybody going on a date without first having at least one conversation to find out who they are dating is either a fool or a sexual deviant.

At 33 a colleague is increasingly heading down the “send em back, leave means leave, bloody leftie snowflake, facking student” route. His girlfriend left him for another bloke and I’m guessing she was fed up of listening to that ste.

He got all snowflakey when I brought up the “If you love someone let them go” and similar st he was posting on social media.
