This is the lorry they were using as a stage at Marble Arch on Tuesday when I walked past. I wonder if Ray Slater has changed his phone number yet!

Is it reasonable to conclude that there are a worrying amount of folk out there that are completely batst crazy?
As a percentage of the population, I doubt its much different to 50 or 100+ years ago, its just that with a massive increase in world population, that % means a high number of them, and as we don't now chuck them all into asylums like the Victorians did, and coupled with the mass media's obsession with giving them publicity, we seem stuck with the brain dead, useless fkers.......

Wouldn't surprise me. Then the driver is either going to be mobbed and have his car smashed up OR treated like a terrorist.

I wonder if they've 'read the science' regarding the safe loading of aged fibreglass roof structures fitted to lorries?

They definitely haven't read the science regarding tyres contributing to microplastics pollution.

Looks like the protest is gathering support in Asia.

Someone one on the radio yesterday said that they felt so strongly about it that they flew down from Scotland to join the protest.

Fek off you hypocritical cwvnt!!

Why don't these useless 'tards get out there and dig some allotments or help build eco housing or whatever.

What boils my piss, & other bodily fluids, is that if the protest is 'peaceful' its somehow OK to inconvenience thousands of people.
Right to protest - fair enough, but can't they do it in a park or something??

Genuine question, why is this protest worse than say the brexit one? Or the freedom of speech one?
Or the countryside alliance one?
All aim to disrupt and gain attention to a cause...
And cost the country millions and take police away from fighting crime.

I don't remember the ones you name (and keep naming, bless your heart) specifically attempting to cause disruption to the transport network, rather than just going on a big march.

If XR want to have a big March through London, crack on! Just don't try and stop everyone else getting on with their days.

It's really not that hard to understand the distinction.

Gammon? Oh really... Crack on then gammon face.
I am racist then... Fine.
Do gammons get stopped and searched? Do gammons have a history of being used as slaves traded around the globe?
Do gammons struggle to get jobs for being gammon?
Do gammons get st posted through letter box and shunned when they moved into a neighborhood?.....

I am white BTW...and English..

A from limited research.

1) People feel that Britain is already doing more than most to stem climate change.
2) This disruption has lasted longer than the other protests.
3) Hypocrites attending take taxis and planes to be there (as stated by attendees).
4) What they are demanding is not achievable without killing every cow in the UK (for example). The goal is unrealistic, rendering their suggestion ludicrous.
5) The impact on business (for example retail in central London) could cost people who can least afford it their jobs due to the protracted length of disruption.
6) Existing climate change taxation policy has changed people’s lifestyles, especially the poorer off.
7) People, like to be able to get home after work rather than stare at a bunch of people disrupting public transport.
8) They appear to be self-indulged fools by many.
.... lots more it seems.

I do not necessarily agree with all of the above, but my feeling is that the protesters have made their point, so it is time to move perhaps to a less disruptive location until those in power have had time to respond. As those folks are on holiday at present, it is not likely to happen immediately, and these protesters should be aware of that and display a little more tolerance until the answers to their protest are given.

I always think of those house programmes that show people 'living off the grid' and what a nice eco friendly lifestyle they have and that everybody should do it.

It's only possible to have a nice lovely time living off the grid as long as only a few do it surrounded by us idiots who stick with the rat race.

If everyone did it, there would be feudalism and fights over bits of grazing land. Then you'll have to learn to defend yourselves and your family then we'll be back to the Wild West.

Most of that lot blocking the bridge would be hard pushed to wire a plug or dig a hole.

I agree that we waste too much and eat the wrong food etc but paralizing the city is not the way to do it.

All I see is the same bunch of wasters that somehow scrimp together £200 to live like a refugee at Glastonbury for a few days each wet, cold and muddy summer.

The more I read about them the more ridiculous they sound, and that is based on a very high benchmark of banning planes and boilers.

Their own words undermine themselves, pointing towards anti-capitalism and anarchy with their relish of the disruption and police attention.

Then you've got the ones sticking themselves to Corbyn's fence and crying when he ignored them, then the posh one walking off of a TV interview after being called out.

Utter joke.
