A few years ago I watched a programme with David Icke, I think it might have been a Louis Theroux investigation.

He talked about how he was in a hotel room one night and a voice told him about how we're all being controlled by lizard people. He described it as his awakening and his inspiration to wake society up to the truth of our situation.

Gail Bradbrook talking about her Iboga experience leading her to found Extinction Rebellion seems exactly the same.

I don't know whether this has been posted earlier - I suspect not. It is an open letter to Greta Thunderbox Here

It makes a lot of points that many of us would like to have made as succinctly.

It hardly matters in her morass of blissful ignorance, but it should be made widely available as a counter to her bile.

I see that the woman thug that smashed the glass at the Deparment of Transport with the smallest hammer in the world is pleading not guilty, despite being filmed doing it? Also wasting the court's time and the public's money by making it go to Crown Court.

Hopefully a massive order for costs once she's found guilty.

It’s a large piece of architectural glass. That’s not an unusual price.

The money is one thing, but more importantly the carbon footprint of the repairs, including the court case, will be substantial.

Given it's getting a bit too cold to sit around in the street, XR are now planning a hunger strike

They don't say how long it will last for, but 6-8 months would be nice

They'll be encouraged by all the supportive comments.

They have my full support. This way they become martyrs, rather than martyring others to support their cause, and we get a reduction in population - which is the primary causal factor for all the issues that they are worried about.

Oh, hang on, most of them are just doing it for a week - so illl-considered and half-baked, just like all their other protests. rolleyes

First they're forced to become vegans.

Then they all go on hunger strike.

I'm seeing a trend starting to develop here.

If they can’t handle a little bit of cold (ironic considering they’re so worried about it getting hotter, you’d think they’d welcome it!) I can’t see them lasting very long on a hunger strike.
I doubt we’re about to see any Bobby Sands level of commitment anytime soon, or any of the dirty protests they did too

Is it me or is this thing starting to take on a sinister element? Some young or easily influenced people could become seriously disturbed and possibly inflect serious mental or physical damage to themselves.
