And on BBC1 this week we have a new alarmist piece of claptrap from Attenborough, entitled, 'The Facts' which'll add more oxygen to their cause no doubt. Special guest? Ah yes the schoolgirl striking for cwimate ...
The End is nigh... rolleyes

And still the Beeb on the main midday news allows the dick (who super-glued his hands to something yesterday) his pathetic voice, to say 'Sorry Police' and some drivel after that not worth repeating.

Something I have wondered - why don't these people spend their time campaigning for factories in Indonesia to be shut down, or cars to be banned in Dehli? That causes far more environmental harm than the UK ever could.

Chinese coal fired power stations etc etc

I expect the Police/Courts over there aren't quite so gentle...

it seems to be weird (indeed 'colonial') attitude - as the UK is a world leader 'blah, blah, blah' we should set n example to everyone else to follow....

But,but,....you're all missing the point.

It's we who need to be setting the example to the rest of the world don'tcha know.

I'll happily chip in a few quid for their air fare to carry out a protest in china though.

They should be allowed to protest all they want.

Once they start lying on roads and blocking entrances to lawful business all bets should be off.

Any means at all to get the lawful progress moving again.

But what group of employed people have recent started their long Easter break?

I would hazard a guess that a large number of these protesters will be back teaching your kids or giving lectures to impressionable students in a few weeks time.
School starts back on 24th April which is uncannily coincidental with the avowed duration of the protest - end of next week.

It would be a little more impressive if the demonstrators spent more time in developing solutions to circumvent the problem they believe to be catastrophic rather than obstructing those going about their way and expecting someone/anyone else to come up with the answer.

The soap dodgers have erected some 'interesting' Turdis-type portable toilets - complete with stacks of plastic-wrapped eco-friendly toilet roll - at Oxford Circus. Should be producing a fair bit of noxious gas by now.

Have you given them a go yet?

If they’re camping in central London for a week or 2 what are they doing for toilets?

I think we know the answer.

The local eco activist from our village posted on Facebook he was off to join the protest. All the local yummy mummies all piped up saying how brave he was and how they wished they could join him. Unfortunately they were all too busy driving their Kahn Jeeps to the new local wine bar with Precocious and Juxtaposition in tow. To try and drum up interest he tried to hold a "Die in" at the local village market. However, only 1 person turned up to "die" for him. He still posted a pic on Facebook of her, to which some wag commented "Is the dead lady ok ?" laugh
