I was replying directly to someone asking me a question about dealing with similar incidents and as usual my pet stalker (under his new account) RH quotes a reply, cutting half of it out of context in order to take a swipe. Perhaps direct experience and of situations being discussed isn't allowed anymore?
~

Many people DO have direct experience, of both the protests and the Police inaction in allowing their freedom to go about their daily lives. The fact you have this attitude speaks volumes about the distorted perspective of the authorities and their pandering to what is acceptable and what is not to the public I am afraid.

Protest Yes, no problem with that, march for a few hours stand on the roadside chanting, flag waving etc Ok, , block a city for days, glue yourself to a bus/road/aircraft.....no.

FFS, I made a comment based in actual experience, in direct reply to a poster asking me a question.
Right on time and somewhat predictably Rovinghawks new account quotes that reply, deletes most of it leaving one line and tells me "we're discussing Cambridge" Seems like his little plan worked too.

So now, unless its Cambridge based we cant talk about it so please refrain from speaking about my percieved attitude (based on actual knowledge and experience of the topic, unlike some) and keep things on track.

Theres a good chap.

Try not to get too frustrated, the vast, vast majority of us think the place is much better for the input of former or serving officers. We may not like the politicisation of the service or how they deal wth the crusties, but it's always interesting stuff.

Now, please, please go and crack some champagne swilling marxist heads! smile

It's a shame only a few of us bother these days, plenty have come and gone due to getting fed up with the same old faces. Sooner or later there wont be any left but everyone has their limit. It's a shame as it'll be less people giving actual advice and help and just leave the armchair experts spouting guff as usual.

Agreed, but it's worth hanging in there for some of us! I don't like Cambridgeshire's response, but the drivers for action have changed. Everything has been politicised out of the park.

Anything advertised as "civil disobedience" is not a protest IMO and should be dealt with accordingly.

Try not to take this place so seriously. It means Jack st in reality.

There is occasional good advice on some forums but some posters would start an argument in an empty house.

Additionally, don't feed the troll. We all know he has issues. Bless.

Forgot about her. Probably still licking the wounds that Marr inflicted!!
It was actually Andrew Neil wasn't it, or has Marr demolished her as well?

It's straight out of a training manual. If it's a credible threat of "Armed and dangerous" bad guys intent on causing harm, and there is an option to "Terminate" then every scenario would be to send them home. If it's not a credible threat, then why do anything. Putting coppers and protesters in harms way is never the right answer.. Which way will Cambridge go......

yes

The use of Zapf Chancery in CAPS is a significantly worse crime than threatening to beat the crap out of them.

Anyone that considers it appropriate for communication has serious personal issues, but highly unlikely to be of a violent predisposition.
