Are we only allowing those with a good education in parliament now?
THis is PH< anyone who isn't RP or had any form of speech defect is determined to be UntermenschThis Week, excellent. Brillo is funny, his delivery is awful, but he is still very funny. Wehning was good...Richard Madeley...bit of a weird section.
I have to say, used to hate the intros, but they've come a long way, they're actually pretty decent now they have chosen a film to parody each time.
Groundhog Day was my fave. Even if the 'acting' is, erm...

Any of the Tories above care to comment on WHAT Laura said last night, or should we assume that only making childish comments about her accent (yes accent; not lack of education) is an indication that you agree with her?
It's the most pathetic form of comment, and even more so when all the blerts pile on.Pieman68 said:
If you want to be pedantic on this you will actually find that the dropped 't' is very common in many Northern accents and actually has a grammatical term - it's known as a glottal stop
The glory of UK accents, you can find almost anything. Accents change with miles, and pertaining to a local area, you can see how people can pinpoint others to a street. It's glorious. Anyone who says dropping 't's is lazy is just clueless. paulrockliffe said:

The highlight on QT for me was a shouty white Labour MP constantly lecturing a quietly spoken and dignified black Tory MP about racism.........
She's the type of MP that , hopefully, will persuade many voters not tofollow their usual tribal voting. That goes for MP's of all political parties.
She campaigned against the Cons Candidate (who was at least born in the Constituency and with family still living here) criticising her for having a Surrey address. Laura got a local address on the ballot by obtaining the use of a flat I can see from where I'm sat now. She didn't stay in the flat and didn't live in the Constituency either, but was just less honest about it.
My main complaint though is that she's clearly as thick as two short planks and far too shouty to at least hide it.
Talent was not a prerequisite, loyalty to the Steptoe was.

The epiglottis is closed by muscle contraction causing the interruption of air into the mouth from the lungs. Therefore there is no air transfer available for the vocal chords to operate - so no accent is audible, even if there is one. It may be cultural - similar uses can be found in Africa (even 'clicks') - but definitely not as accent. No sound - no accent. HTH.Cantaloupe said:
A SNP representative hasn't made the panel again, preferring a BBC box ticking Asian, female comedian.
Which is strange as, to a man or woman, the SNP MPs/MSPs are all Leftie scrotes.
I LIKE that woman on tonightWhich is strange as, to a man or woman, the SNP MPs/MSPs are all Leftie scrotes.
That should be good enough even for the most right wing UKIP voting Union Jack Boxer front bds around
