Indeed, I worked in the same department as him.

Should not be able to sleep at night for the role he played in Charles Kennedy's death

Is he actually as big a throbber as he comes across?

Did he need the internal telephone system or could everyone in the building hear him without?

It was 30 odd years ago, so my memory of him is rather dim. I seem to remember he was bright, rather cock-sure about his opinions, very ambitious and mercenary/commercial. He wasn't quite the windbag that he is now but he could go on.

That's absolutely disgusting behaviour, its bad enough when one candidate starts slagging off another, it turns voters off in their droves and imho is counter productive but that took it to a whole new level of harrassment.

I'm in no doubt that under normal circumstances, such harrassment would warrant a criminal investigation. Comes as no surprise, Blackford routinely plumbs new depths of depravity with his punch and judy politics. He really is the marmite pot of putrifying fermented penile discharge.

I doubt Mark Harper will mention it, though, he has his own skeletons. Just to balance things out a bit...

Then again, hiring a cleaner with questionable immigration status whilst immigration minister doesn't exactly compare with hounding a very well respected politician to their death.

Yeah - never forgiven that fat balloon on a stick for that.

Kennedy was a nearly great but tragic man. Blackford, an unprincipled and vile gasbag.

I’m kind of half watching but did Finkelstein just say that we ended up with results worse than the estimated figures? What’s he looking at!

Somepeople seem to think a trade deal is the same as a contract between two companies or a sky tv package deal.

It is not in anyway shape or form.

I made the mistake of watching QT last night. Give me a break, I was bored, and have a short memory. I'd forgotten what a pile of dross this show has become. The guests are either party politicians who just trot out cliches (Sarah Jones), are there simply to get a special interest point across (the theatre woman), or are some media/comedian/academic type who seem to know nothing (Daniel "I really can't answer that" Finkelstein).

The audience comments are pathetic. They never seem to have thought about what they want to say, and just dribble on randomly. What is the point of them on this show? At least in the old days you could hear the groaning and booing. Now you just see silent clapping!

Special mention for Ian Blackford. A man with absolutely no sense of how he comes across. He drones on in a whiny voice, refuses to "keep it brief" despite the urging from the hopeless Fiona Bruce, and is purely interested in scoring cheap political points against "this terrible Tory government".

If anyone's thinking "ooh, Question Time, not seen that for a while, might give it a go" then don't. It's awful.

Fiona’s panel for Thursday 24th June at 10.45pm is:

Robert Buckland – Conservative
Caroline Lucas – Green Party
Kate Andrews – Spectator journalist and seems quite popular on here when she is on
Victor Adebowale – NHS confederation
And……………………….
Jonathan Ashworth – Labour and a firm favourite of some posters. Can be excellent value for money

John Ashworth, for those tough nights when Barry Gardiner doesn't send you off to sleep.
