Several Trump Doral golf members quit the club after the 2016 election to cut ties with Trump. Turns out they'll be waiting about 85 years for him to refund their deposits.
Golfers who quit their memberships at Trump National Doral after the property’s namesake became president were aiming to lose their link to a man they do not support. Turns out they could be waiting for Trump to pay them back for the rest of their lives.
Two long-time golf members who resigned weeks after Trump won the 2016 presidential election said they were no longer willing to write him checks. Another quit last December after he said the club became too political. They spoke to the Herald on the condition of anonymity, saying they fear retaliation. These former members are now on a waiting list to get their deposits back — ranging from $10,500 to $19,000 — that stretches more than 265 people-long.
To move up the list by one spot, four new golf members need to join the club, according to the membership terms. Deposit amounts vary depending on when members joined.

Great photo. I really hope that secret service agent on the right is moonwalking.https://twitter.com/dougmillsnyt/status/1164605764...
Apologies if I haven't read back enough pages - I've been away a few days.
Did anyone else catch the interview with Anthony Scaramucci on the Today programme, yesterday I think it was, in which "the Mooch" of all people, previously unashamedly and almost aggressively pro-Trump, despite his short tenure as one of Trump's staffers, not only said he could not support Trump anymore (as a result of his racist comments regarding certain congresswomen), but also suggested invoking the 25th Amendment?
I thought it telling, but, yet again, as with so many things pointing to Trump being at best divisive, at worst an idiot, it didn't seem to gain the traction one would expect, which I find one of the most baffling aspects of this presidency: the man lies, makes things up, is clearly thin skinned and a bully,is lazy, is an utter hypocrite (let's compare days spent playing golf, let alone the increase in Mar-a-Lago fees), and still, none of this seems to get raised with him. That said, from what I understand, the traditional daily White House press conferences have been binned - could any US PHers confirm?

This is interesting, actually I meant to say disturbingly interesting.

The president failed every criterion for rational and reality-based decision-making capacity.
Worth watching if you have a spare 5 minutes.

Who gives a st about moaning old golfers? fking hell, talk about non-story
trump not paying out money, well combine that with several other stories such as how he owes several cities money after his rallys there which he isn't paying and it starts showing a pattern of non payment.See, it's not just about golfers...
Rather like if 22 women come out with allegations of sexual assault, all with similar stories...
Facebook has banned The Epoch Times, a conservative news outlet that spent more money on pro-Trump Facebook advertisements than any group other than the Trump campaign, from any future advertising on the platform.
The decision follows an NBC News report that The Epoch Times had shifted its spending on Facebook in the last month, seemingly in an effort to obfuscate its connection to some $2 million worth of ads that promoted the president and conspiracy theories about his political enemies.

The National Association of Hispanic Journalists has rescinded Fox News' sponsorship of an upcoming national conference and denounced Fox News for promoting racism.
The president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists said the organization would return the $16,666 that Fox News gave NAHJ to sponsor the conference.
“The line between commentary and journalism was crossed long ago by Fox News and is no longer even in sight,” NAHJ President Hugo Balta said in a statement on Thursday.
“To accept financial support from an entity that perpetuates the spread of disinformation to the public about the Hispanic and Latino community risks the integrity and credibility of NAHJ’s 35 year mission,” he added.

An email sent from the Justice Department to all immigration court employees this week included a link to an article posted on a white nationalist website that “directly attacks sitting immigration judges with racial and ethnically tinged slurs,” according to a letter sent by an immigration judges union and obtained by BuzzFeed News.
According to the National Association of Immigration Judges, the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) sent court employees a link to a blog post from VDare, a white nationalist website, in its morning news briefing earlier this week that included anti-Semitic attacks on judges.

Yesterday the NY times reported how a major US CEO was sleeping with a russian spy, so he resigned.
Maria Butina had an affair with Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne, seems a strange person to choose? Why him.
Remember that Butina is serving an 18-month prison term after being accused by federal prosecutors of trying to infiltrate powerful political circles at the direction of the Russian government. She ultimately pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

top surrogate for President Trump, who holds a senior campaign position in Iowa, said Wednesday night that the president has done more for women than anyone else she could think of besides Mother Teresa.
"There's not a person alive that literally has done so much for a female, for the female population," said Tana Goertz, Trump Team Coordinator in Iowa. "I can't think of one person that I could go, except for Mother Teresa. I mean, literally, who has done more for women in office than Donald Trump?"

Well, he's certainly given women lots of money for saying nothing

trump joked about trading 3 million brown people for 50,000 white northern europeans
President Trump, who sparked controversy with this comments about purchasing Greenland, at one point joked about trading Puerto Rico for the Danish territory, a former White House official told The New York Times.
Trump joked about trading the American territory for Greenland last year, according to the former official, who reportedly overheard the president.

Now just to explain that to coolhands, you need to remember that trump complained about the influx of migrants from "sthole countries" and pined for more arrivals from Norway.
https://theweek.com/articles/858662/trump-wants-ma...
That trump's introduced a new policy, federal authorities will use "aggressive" wealth tests to reject residency or citizenship for an immigrant "because he or she is likely at any time to become a public charge", would possibly need to receive food stamps or other taxpayer-funded welfare state benefits. Officials can make that determination by considering the migrant's "age; health; family status; assets, resources, and financial status; and education and skills."

and that trump wants to make the US white again

which is why it's not a joke when he touts the idea, especially as he's ignored Puerto Rico's needs as they didn't vote for him.
