It is fascinating that Tusk seems to think that he has any influence on the G7 bearing in mind that the EU is not even part of it. Yet another case of the EU overreaching...
Wait - so by your reckoning no other politician should be allowed to comment, as it would be a 'fascinating' example of overreaching?inonthis said:
Yes, I do find the obsession amusing
In the grand scheme of world politics there are bigger fish to fry IMO.
Ah - I see where you are coming from now. You find those who are genuinely concerned funny. To be honest, that is an even worse moral position to take.In the grand scheme of world politics there are bigger fish to fry IMO.
But then again, there have always been people who delight in the discomfort of others. Nothing new there - just an unpleasant characteristic to possess, in my view.

No, I'm just not a total anorak devoid of any personality. But then again, there have always been people who delight in the discomfort of others. Nothing new there - just an unpleasant characteristic to possess, in my view.
Trump has good and bad policies but he's not Hitler reincarnated. Get over yourself.

Do you know me?Trump has good and bad policies but he's not Hitler reincarnated. Get over yourself.
What makes you think I am lacking personality?
It seems a massive assumption that you are making from scanty evidence (a bit like Mr Trump does, to be honest). Maybe that's why he appeals to certain types.
Trump and Boris have a chat. We can all be reassured they've agreed we'll do 'great deals'.
FFS - really, I can't believe it's even news. Our PM and POTUS discussing and agreeing absolute nothing of substance whatsoever.
There's every chance we'll do a deal in haste and repent at leisure with the Orange One just to demonstrate 'progress' and our new standing in the world post 31Oct19.
The whole thing would be unbelievable as a TV farce. Yet this is our future!

Nope not hitler, more like Bin Laden, in that they both used daddy's money to impact the New York skyline for the worse...Trump has good and bad policies but he's not Hitler reincarnated. Get over yourself.
(joke from the Edinburgh Fringe)
The political and cultural upheaval of the last four years has divided the country on ever-hardening partisan and generational lines, but one feeling unites Americans as much as it did before the 2016 election.
They’re still angry. And still unsettled about the future.
The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds that — despite Americans’ overall satisfaction with the state of the U.S. economy and their own personal finances — a majority say they are angry at the nation’s political and financial establishment, anxious about its economic future, and pessimistic about the country they’re leaving for the next generation.
70% of Americans say they feel angry "because our political system seems to only be working for the insiders"
56% say they feel "anxious and uncertain because the economy still feels rocky"
56% say race relations have gotten worse since Trump took office

Someone really needs to challenge him on these. Who asks him this - noone...
Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
The question I was asked most today by fellow World Leaders, who think the USA is doing so well and is stronger than ever before, happens to be, “Mr. President, why does the American media hate your Country so much? Why are they rooting for it to fail?”

I wonder what sort of moral, compass you possess?
I genuinely wonder at the state of humanity sometimes.

65 House Democratss have signed a letter to FBI Director Wray and Acting Homeland Security Sec'y McAleenan seeking an explanation of the Trump admin's "hampering of an effective, coordinated response to the growing threat of white supremacist extremist violence."

That 'stable genius', trump has suggested multiple times to senior Homeland Security and national security officials that they explore using nuclear bombs to stop hurricanes from hitting the United States.
Apart from the fact it wont work, this would also allow the winds to carry nuclear fallout onto land.

I’m running. Simple platform: I will not drop nuclear weapons on weather. Vote for me. ⛈

Axios are also reporting that no new wall has been built, just replacement sections of existing wall, despite all of trumps promises, his declaration of emergency powers
