Interesting info on Jim Jordon. Only in cogress because they gerrymandered the district, (OH-4), the infamous "duck district." It's drawn to gobble up Republican votes by zagging around cities.
or instead of a duck could be a pram with a laser cannon mounted on it
If it's a pram, it looks like the wheels came off - which may be apt.or instead of a duck could be a pram with a laser cannon mounted on it
Remember of Sondland that trump praised him as a "really good man" and "great American." He also said
Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
I would love to send Ambassador Sondland, a really good man and great American, to testify, but unfortunately he would be testifying before a totally compromised kangaroo court, where Republican’s rights have been taken away, and true facts are not allowed out for the public....
....to see. Importantly, Ambassador Sondland’s tweet, which few report, stated, “I believe you are incorrect about President Trump’s intentions. The President has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo’s of any kind.” That says it ALL!
6:23 AM - 8 Oct 2019
Sondland today:
"Everyone's in the loop"
"It was no secret"
"They knew what we were doing and why"
"There was no secret regarding ... the discussion of the investigations."
“Was there a ‘quid pro quo? The answer is yes.”
"So we followed the Presidents orders"
I love his claim that it's not his fault he forgot, it was because his memory “has not been perfect,” and it's the fault of the State Department who have withheld his phone records and emails. He said the process would have been "more transparent" if the State Department would have provided the documents.
So thats throwing them under the bus for obstruction now...

Nunes clamed Sondland was going to get smeared. Given Sondland's opening statement I think he might be right, but not about who was going to be doing the smearing....
So Sondland outlined it was a Quid Pro Quo and everyone new, and Nunes just sat there and claimed it was all a hoax? Who in the republicans thoughts this bright spark should be the minority ranking member? Thick as pig st springs to mind.

Nunes gave his opening statement before Sondland spoke. I think Nunes must not have had access to Sondland's opening statement.Who in the republicans thoughts this bright spark should be the minority ranking member? Thick as pig st springs to mind.
Nunes repeating conspiracy theories about Ukraine. Steele Dossier, black ledger, etc.
So the defense from Nunes seems to be, Trump was right to want to investigate Ukraine and it wasn't for personal gain. But it doesn't matter because the only quid pro quo was for a statement, which is nothing.
Nunes mentions Burisma, Sondland repeats it back to him and Nunes says "I'm glad you mentioned Burisma". He's a bellend.

Fox News
"It doesn't look good for the president, substantively."
Ken Starr: "There will be articles of impeachment, I think we've known that ... It's over ... This is his position, we now know that the president, in fact, committed the crime of bribery ... Articles of impeachment are being drawn up if they haven't already been drawn up."

And here it comes..
@maggieNYT
President Trump - wait for it - hardly knows the guy (Sondland): “I don’t know him very well. I have not spoken to him much. This is not a man I know well. He seems like a nice guy though.”
Standard approach. Never knew the guy, accept he gave $1m to Trump and flew on Air Force 1. @maggieNYT
