It's rather disingenuous to not include the post I was replying to. I was responding to one posters who's specialist subject is insulting people.

As for my opinions. They are guess what opinions. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions. Although mine are much better informed than most smile

Not sure what a clever thick person is.
Ooh, you are referring to me. Just a quick correction - my specialist subject is replying to posters who wilfully misrepresent what I post and then exposing them for the disingenuous numpties they are.

Debate properly, no problem. Be a prick about it and expect an appropriate response.

I am not sure you would have a specific exit clause. Few treaties do. But as a sensible and friendly nations the UK would present workable plans for the Irish border to the EU. A system which worked for both sides. Then offer to pay to develop it. Then when it's built the UK informs the EU its exiting the CU.
That's where I think the problem lies. I don't think either side considers the other sensible or friendly, sadly. And I wouldn't base UK foreign policy on that assumption.
I am sure many on the brexit wing of the tory party, and many on here, do not trust the EU. That's because many see the EU as a real living breathing entity determined to do down plucky UK.

But while the EU has legal capacity just like a limited company it is not a living entity. All EU policy is set by the Council. This is the heads of state of the EU counties. The UK will have to deal with these people and they with the UK no matter what happens in brexit. To not base foreign policy on a friendly relationship with our nearest neighbours is madness.

Absolute clown, amazingly some actually want idiots like that in power, it beggars belief.
