I believe this should show total pay and tax for any one year, including totals from previous employments where there is a job change mid-year.

My P60 shows payments etc from my current employer only, and nothing from previous employment.

Am I correct or wrong?

P60 is per employer. it won't show earnings from some one else.

I thought it was P45 from previous employer + P60 from current one to give all these details. Add the two together and job's a goodun.

The P60 should indeed show gross earnings and tax deducted from any previous employer.

Unless the P45 was a week 1 code & the revised totals didn't come through in time? wobble

P60 should show the earnings/Tax for the previous employment, the tax/earnings in the current employment, and the combined amount.

Did you definitely show your P45 to your current Employer?
What tax code did your current Employer use?

Unless week 1 code & no update to figures entered. Or if maybe the new job start date falls a bit peculiar (say 25th March) and P45 not received until after the final payroll run of that tax year.

...or a few other reasons, mostly muppetry hehe

No time issues and they had the P45.

In actual fact they issued the P45 as I was moving between group businesses (I had not been there long enough for length of service issues).

Has it all been treated as if you only had 1 employer? i.e. as an intergroup transfer rather than 2 x employments?

Was your tax code wk1/mth1 on leaving your previous employ?

Look at your P45, that'll show you.

Have you asked your employer? hehe

They are confused. Our payroll department is US based, and uses a US based payroll provider. They have been looking into this for 6 weeks so far...

They told me I was wrong and that they can’t mess with tax documents. I pointed out the big box marked previous employment, but have given in. Will show p45 along with p60 when I need to..
