Husqvarna - why not?
Discussion
This seems to be a well executed bargain.

156kg dry 70bhp at the wheel, a great price. Trying to think why I shouldn’t get one??

Have you tried riding along behind one of these? I know you can't see it yourself when you're riding it.....but......they just look REALLY odd. The rider seems perched up high on the seat, then there's this big gap, then a big wrap-around thingie for the plate. Those two things don't move together so every time it goes over a bump it looks like that back end has collapsed. It's really very weird.

The only thing that puts me off the 690 is the way it chugs when crawling along, which is evident in most review videos, so its the bike not the rider. It doesn't seem to be the best bike for slow traffic etc.
Same for a big twin etc, also the sound makes it sound ‘worse’!dibblecorse said:

I have a Svartpilen 701 and test rode the Vitpilen too. The Vit riding position isnt quite as extreme as it looks and if you're a sportsbike rider it will feel very natural. Like the 690 duke they did drop the price on 2018 models recently and you can pick up a new one for 6999. Still more than the KTM but if you like the style(and I do) then worth the extra.

Are these set up like the Enduro bikes? No cush drive etc? If so, they won’t be a relaxing ride at low speed, but the will feel really mechanical and involving (That’s certainly how my KTM feels).
They have a cush drive, balancer shafts and all manner of electronic trickery to smooth out the big thumper engine. Compared with my older KTM Supermoto which vibrates enough to blur my vision the new ones are like riding on bowling green Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
