Just out for casual walk.. hope there’s no press around.

Is this a demonstration she doesn’t know how to use a baby carrier or does it really reflect her mindset of deliberately adjusting it to put the baby off to one side (regardless of the babies discomfort), so her face won’t be obscured for the press shots. I say the latter, pathetic.

You got all that from one photograph?

Impressive work.

I think you may be slightly overthinking this.

To be fair, it's bloody weird to be carrying a baby like that in one of those.

I have to agree.

Having used one of those baby sling things every day for both our children never did a strap slip like that of its own accord and if it did slip in this case it would be much easier to pull the strap back onto your shoulder than walk in that way using you right arm to support said sprog.

It isn't just the old. The wide spread hysteria after the death of the Princess of Wales was shocking. Obviously the event itself was dreadfully sad, just as is any avoidable death that bereaves children, but the collective hysteria was self-indulgent, prurient, fantastical idiocy on a scale I had never imagined possible. The total lack of self-reflection of the participants was unnerving. Otherwise normal people behaving like lunatics and feeling confident in their behaviour because they surrounded themselves with fellow lunatics and were egged on by the gutter press whose own spectacular cynicism was largely responsible for the death in the first place.
That was quite mad. I remember feeling a bit surprised/uncomfortable at the outpouring of emotion at the time.
Not the only one
Thanks to the press a lot of people had strong feelings for a young Woman in a broken marriage with two young sons who was under intrusive scrutiny, it is not surprising they wished to demonstrate their respect after such a tragic and horrific death far from home. To dismiss such feelings in other people is quite frankly rather pompous and shows a unpleasant feeling of superiority in those that do..

I like to think it was 0.0009% of the nation, despite the coverage.
I'd like to think it was about 600 people too, but it pretty clearly wasn't. It was honest to goodness mass hysteria with some people getting abuse for not joining in.
ATG's post is surprisingly accurate. At the time we had a business in Blackpool and I remember being slagged off by some women stood outside the Town Hall. This was down to the absolute crime of genuinely wondering why so many people were stood outside the place. It was to do with a condolence book that the council had decided to open/ Anyway I mentioned to James what was going on he asked a woman she replied and I just said Oh.
Obviously not the right answer as far as her and her mates were concerned and we were slagged off as not having any respect.

We then went over the road To Yates Wine Lodge and promptly forgot about it.
Oh well

I did feel that the funeral was OTT though well organised but the children walking behind it wasn't for me
I also thought Charles scuttling over to get the body was a bit awkward. On the Sunday she died I was with some gay guys . One was one of my best friends he is no longer with us unfortunately. Anyway there we were at one of his mates houses and I remember one of the guys saying WTF is he doing there he cant make up for treating her like st now.
She (Diana) was much loved amongst the gay people I knew then.
You can sympathise with something without having to go along with elements you think are OTT. It isn't being pompous its simply being yourself.
That however isn't really the point of Rolls post.

I would prefer a shot taken from the rear. I bet her arse looks great in those leggings

It's OK, it's just a prop doll anyway wink

But yea, so much for stepping back from press intrusion huh

Think she's following the Diana method of avoiding the press, where she gives them a ring in the morning, "oh I really hope I don't get papped in such and such a park today"

Just funny how there's zero similar pictures of her/them taking the baby for a walk in Windsor. Looking forward to Piers Morgan's thoughts on this.

Okay...

A. Total incompetence
B. Totally self-absorbed

C. Accidental.... but if you’ve ever used a baby sling you should hopefully see how this is virtually impossible. Slipping off the shoulder, nope. Baby falling out the side of it, nope. Not that I would, but I think I could run, sprint, clamber over rocks and none of the above would happen. It certainly wouldn’t happen walking along casually with the dog.

Are they their dogs from UK? How have they cleared quarantine so fast? Does it not take months, normally?

Honestly it's all a bit Piers Morgan.

I would guess follow any new mum with cameras and zoom lenses and at some point you'll catch something.

Maybe she's the worst mother in the world, I'm sure that one's coming at some point.

That's not a zoom lens (zoom would compress the perspective massively). She's posing for the camera. Etc.

So that part of your argument is clearly false.

Secondly, why no similar photos whilst undergoing press harassment whilst in the UK?

There is no argument.

Why do people give a st about it?

Grown men dissecting the angle of a baby harness for a fleeting second.

Some really can't stand hypocrisy.

Others seem to want to come up with spurious and obviously false reasons why those people who can't must be wrong and odd...
