Watched the new series of 'The Windsors' last night; given everything that's gone on I'm really not sure whether it's a spoof, a reality show or a documentary laugh
Just caught it on catch-up.
It’s absolute genius. The caricatures are so extreme they go full circle and come back round to being believable.
Eugenie and Bea must be fizzing with every episode......yaaaah? hehe

I had the same thought - reality imitating fiction. laugh

On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if Camilla liked how she is portrayed smile

For someone hoping to earn millions as a speaker that was a piss poor performance.

Love the way he makes it clear he just wants to be called “Harry”.....
Bet that’ll last right up to the point someone doesn’t introduce him to an audience as “He used to be HRH...now he’s just Harry”

Agreed on his performance. Delivered with all the enthusiasm and zest of someone dreading going back home to a nagging wife who’ll instantly lay in to him for being away for a few days.

The Windsors comedy on Netflix was written before the latest H&M stuff, but it does not appear to be too far from the mark.

“A public opinion poll released in January by the non-profit Angus Reid Institute indicated that 73% of Canadians had no interest in paying any of the costs for security and other expenditures associated with their relocation.“

When do we get to express an opinion?

Perhaps we can have a referendum about it......getmecoat

I had no idea Canada had been footing the security bill for them since November.

Hopefully Harry doesn’t have to read some of the vile stuff online.

Leave the lad alone.
He wants to go it alone - no problem (but you don’t benefit off the Royal /crown title)
He has served his country in the military and also as part of the Royal family.

I’d also say leave her alone too.
I don’t get the press/media doing that documentary about her father. Countless families have issues I dare say the Royals are no different in that regard. Personally I’ve no interest in her dad or mum or anyone else really. The interest in Harry and Megan for sure but if they want to step down that’s fine.

Seems fair enough in that I was surprised Canada would be paying anyway.

If the security services deem there's sufficient threat to require it we should pick up the tab as I presume we do with any other royal or politician.

But then they'd have to restart their courtship with the media in order to commence their new careers.

They should pay for their own security once they're no longer royals - why should taxpayers?

It isn't about whether they're still royals it's about if the security services think there is still a threat because they were royals.

Let's cut to the chase do people want to see them harmed?

I'd presume not.

In which case perhaps accept that just as the likes of Brown and Blair and Major are no longer politicians they still get security because of what they were.

They’re “Used to be Royal” royals.
Didn’t you see his appearance at that conference yesterday?....
“So I’d like to introduce to you someone who has made it clear that although he used to be called His Royal Highness, he no longer wants to be called His Royal Highness so if you were thinking of calling him Your Royal Highness, please don’t call him Your Royal Highness, because that’s what he used to be and he’s no longer a Royal Highness even though he used to be a Royal Highness.
It’s just Harry, plain old Harry.....but errr.... don’t forget he used to be His Royal Highness, ok? Don’t forget that bit”
