So many have prejudged her and written her off. I honestly don't know why, she hasn't really done much to cause such ire.
And we have no way of knowing anything like the truth anyway as all we get is drip fed media nonsense. TBH I think at the worst they have both been slightly disrespectful to H's Grandma.

I think this great nation is not short of people who formed their opinion of MM on seeing a pic of her for the first time. She does not fit the "person spec" for member of English Royal family very well.
I've seen no proof of this whatsoever, but it's another narrative fed by sections of the media (often foreign), pro H+M this time. I believe the British people are mostly pretty decent and want only the best for Harry. Anyone duped into following the racism theme is just as gullible as anyone who believes M is some kind of Machiavellian plotter with a long term hidden agenda.
I do believe she was seen renting a copy of Kind Hearts and Coronets so don't write her off just yet! hehe

Do you really think, reading the criticisms of the pair, that "large sections of pistonheads" are only putting forwards those arguments due to them being sexist and racist?

If you genuinely think so many PHers are like that - why on earth do you come here? I certainly wouldn't choose to frequent a pub full of sexist and racists...
Because it's funny seeing how ignorant people are.

You're a clever bloke Sway yet here you are bought into it hook line and sinker and all because the Daily Mail told you to dislike someone you know next to nothing about.

Maybe aim some of that bile at the likes of the Mail and ask how they did it to you instead of believing it.
I don't think I've read a Mail article for years.

Your response isn't really one.

Are you suggesting that it's exactly as you said, and the only reason (despite me being a 'clever bloke') is because I've been duped by racists and sexists at the Mail?

Or is it that you think I'm racist and/or sexist?

Must it be my comments on their actions can only be motivated by racism or sexism because one of the pair I've criticised is a black woman?

Still comes down to - if we're all such racist and sexist s (and it's a "large section" of us, not just a couple of nutters), why on earth are you here? Or could it have been massive hyperbole instead of actually engaging with the points made regarding hypocrisy and actions not matching words?

Smiler.

Want the best for Harry as long as it conforms to their idea of what is best for him. You should check out the DM comments section. Widely distributed paper. Big readership. Very profitable. It was said a few pages back that 1.5m costs due to MM will barely register. DM is just a business. They would sell their soul for money. But the readers....they're the ones I'm worried about

I do remember someone posting a mail link recently scratchchin

The article was about how Boris laughed evilly while tucking into Gourmet food deliveries from a farm shop while poor nurses only got a 1% pay rise. Cant seem to remember who posted it. I am sure it will come to me.

I'm suggesting you don't know Harry or Meghan just as I don't so any perception you have of just how badly either of them have acted it because of how they're portrayed in the media.

I'm sure they've been hypocritical and I'm sure their actions don't match their words but they won't be the first or last couple in a position of privilege to have done that.

So just what is it that makes Harry and Meghan just so different to single them out for this treatment compared to William and Kate?

Or did you form all your views on them completely independently based on your personal knowledge of them that definitely didn't come from the media?

It was me and you'll forgive me if I don't take lectures from our very own spewer of crap about "alan's snackbar" after one of the last terror attacks.

Oh OK. So it's not sexism, as I treat Will & Kate differently. It's racism then. Gotcha - thanks for letting me know.

The primary source for my views on them are themselves - their Sussex Royals posts/statements, their insta releases, their interviews and actions.

Indeed, pretty much every single post I've made on this topic has been pointing out the delta between what they themselves have said - and what they're actually doing and have done.

Of course, none of it is valid/relevant or worth debating with - as it's solely driven by racism.

Why read and comment?

It is interesting to see the views of others even if you don't agree.

The spectacle of presumably adults getting all worked up & frothy about Meghan is just the latest in a stream of hard to explain (for me) behaviour from it seems large parts of the UK population (or at least PH). DM readership suggests it is widespread at least.

It is interesting to try and unpick why so many may have such strong feelings about people like Meghan.

What really triggered you Sway - if indeed you are (I've not read much of the thread)?

PS Any thoughts on the fish or will that never be mentioned again?

laugh I hope not
ok to put it more bluntly, Megs will bumped off in the summer by "The Firm", most likely in a Paris underpass, just like her late mother-in-law. Hopefully they'll go for a 2 for 1 deal and take out that obnoxious Andrew bloke as well laugh Once that's done and dusted, the Duke will be allowed to turn his toes up. The press will need something to get their teeth into in the summer as COVID19 will be old news by then and these events will provide the perfect story for them.

In my experience, those that accuse people of being racist, sexist and unpleasant are usually projecting their own objectionable views.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I racism and sexism are simply bizarre in my mind...they make no sense.

I do, however, not like hypocrites, which is why I am not a fan of Harry and Meghan.

I don't really see particular hypocrisy on Harry and Meghan's part? They never said they wanted absolute privacy - it was always clear that they wanted to carve out some means of being independent that involved public engagement. Their beef was unfair treatment by the UK press.

To be honest, nothing they are alleged to have done has disgusted me as much as the story related first hand by 'Piquet' on the 'Why no thread on Phil the Greek?' thread about an entire A&E department being put on hold for the duration of a nearby polo match that Charles was playing in.

I am really coming round to the idea that when the current Queen goes the whole enterprise should be wound up.

For all the excitement in the press about the “tasters” to boost viewing figures, and the hints of a rift with Kate, who reckons this interview will actually turn out to be dull as st like Corden and amount to nothing...

Hypocracy? See spouting woke bks about climate change whilst private jetting across the Atlantic on a whim for a Hen weekend as the tip of the iceberg.

Their PR up to this one had been horribly managed.
