In understand tat Jo is considering lodging a complaint against Buckingham Palace and the Queen herself.
The UK's most important woman has accused the Queen of undermining her parties campaign launch.
The accusation is that the announcement of Prince Andrews withdrawal from public duties today has removed the median coverage the launch would have received.

Lib dems are going to setup a database of anyone flying using your passport number, then ramp up a tax on the flight by more each time you fly. A flight to usa could cost over £1k in tax.

So guys like me, who tend to fly six times a year for work, are now going to get hammered on tax if i fancy a holiday.

My employer and therefore customer will get hammered with a higher bill to cover this extra tax.

fk that.

Just heard JS announce that she will use the ‘remain bonus’ to pay for extra education. What is the remain bonus? If we stay in the EU we are in the same place we are currently, so where is the remain bonus coming from?

On JS’s personality (note, not gender!) Sky’s Beth Rigby just accused JS of being less popular than her party and personally putting voters off.

Having seen the interview, I think JS would benefit from some voice coaching - her voice is very high and she speaks very quickly, which comes across as lacking gravitas. Contrast her to Beth Rigby - lower pitched voice, slower speech. Yes it shouldn’t matter, but it clearly does. Gravitas is a thing and JS lacks it. As an aside, the saintly Margaret Thatcher benefited from elocution lessons to allow her to generate more gravitas.

The more I hear JS, the more she comes across to me as a whining, petulant, child.

Ooooh the big boys won’t play with me, take them to court!

Almost expect her to stamp her foot and threaten to scream and scream until she makes herself sick.
Another gender based insults. Quell surpose.
No, more of a personality based observation. Play that card all you like but Mrs Thatcher never had to.
I’m not sure that makes sense. Mrs thatcher wasn’t on here answering questions about people making gender based insults?

Or are you saying if JoSwinson was more like thatcher sugarbear wouldn’t be having to comment on your gender based insults?
At the risk of repeating myself, they are personality-based observations, not to be confused with gender-based insults.
Isn't the "scream and scream" one gender based?
Children of both genders are capable of screaming and screaming, and often do. That you think it's a gendered insult perhaps says more about you than him wink
What it says about me is that I've seen Bonnie Langford play Violet Elizabeth Bott in Just William on TV. As has Ayahuasca apparently.

Jo Swinson has been criticised for trying to pass a “virility test” after saying she would be willing to press the nuclear button if she becomes prime minister.

The Liberal Democrat leader was asked if she would “ever be prepared to use a nuclear weapon”, answering with a single word: “Yes.”

The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament attacked the “disgraceful response”, saying: “Not even a moment’s hesitation about the prospect of killing millions of people. We need better than this.”
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jo-swinson-nuclear-weapon-button-war-lib-dems-election-debate-a9210456.html

Her answer is perfect, and the disgrace are those who advocate that our leaders allow us to be nuked without consequence. What a farce.

Law of averages it's gotta be Tory surely, or one of the other lot this time?

Jeezus wept!
Nope. It's the Dums ,,,again! rolleyes

They simply do not give up.
I've lost count now how much we've had from them, posters, newspapers, cards, canvassers at the door, phone calls etc (you'll have to look back through my posts).

Still nothing, zilch, from anyone else.

They are crackers. Well, won't be binning this one, it's going in the post back to them. Wonder if they'll get the message?

I've just looked up the Lib-Dem candidate on the leaflet - don't recognise her.
Ah, looks like she's been parachuted into the Witney constituency. Says she lives here. Previously worked for Scottish Lib-Dems it seems?
She says the local Tory doesn't do anything. How would she know?
I shall be voting Tory again this time as I know he does lots! He won the Witney seat when Cameron 'retired' LOL.

They've been here too ...

Yes, their vote was up 9% (to 12%). TBP were second to Labour though - there were 1683 votes in it - there is no mention of TBP anywhere in the leaflet.

Toryboy was third. I don't think TBP will come anywhere near that this time.

Did you just post a video of Mike Tyson as a comparison to Jo Swinson's ability to run a political party, potentially the country?

I'm just checking you just did that.

So you are annoyed that the Lib Dems are campaigning in Witney? Have a think about why you have received nothing from the Tories. Because they take your vote for granted and therefore won't spend any time or effort in your constituency. At least the Lib Dems are trying, which is surely the point in a general election.

The likelihood for your LD candidate is that she will spend a couple of GE cycles in Witney then will move to a more winnable seat.

A piece in The Times today by Iain Martin referring to 2005 when Swinson, age 25, won the seat for East Dunbartonshire.

'Her broad smile and highly confident speaking style created the impression that Swinson considered herself to be absolutely fantastic. Here, I thought, is a politician who will end up annoying voters'.

How very true.
