Tactical voting sites suggest I vote LD to keep Labour out, or vote Tory to get Brexit.

Obviously avoiding Corbyn is the main thing and with LD 2nd here last time that would make sense but as they have only 1 policy, (which is a unambiguity people are actually voting on the basis of), and they are nicking tactical left wing votes, and in light of me not wanting a party so useless it only has 1 policy or to remain in the EU, is it not a risk that they might actually do well? Of course this is also mitigated by the exact same factors but it feels like a gamble.

The money the Lib-Dums are spending. Wonder how much that front page spread cost LDHQ?
What with swamping vast numbers of households in the UK with their trash, imagine them in power?

They'd even make Labour's spending pale into insignificance!

'Sorry, the money's all gone after 6 months in power!'

I think the Lib Dems will end up with
An overall gain or loss of 2 MP's
They will spin it as a resounding victory whatever the result. Then they will pin the blame on it being Jo Swinson's Lib Dems.
She will be pressured to go and Ed Davey will end up full time leader.

Her departure won't be immediate but will be by the end of January.

Judging by the amount of time and attention given to the subject by the repressed LD-curious men on here, the message is getting through.

They have one main headline grabbing policy which has got the attention, it's good that there is a umabiguously remain party option to vote for. Their other policies all seem to be sensible and moderate, they are not particularly eye catching but they are not making the same kind of money spending pledges as other parties, which is a big plus as far as I'm concerned.

I've voted Conservative in the past due me perceiving them to be the most sensible economically, and generally social liberal. These days it seems to me that it's the Lib Dem's that fit this description better than the other parties, especially since I personally don't see the economic merits of leaving the EU outweighing the positives of remaining.

I don't see Swinson as PM material but there is no chance of her leading a majority government anyway.

That’s pretty much my take on it. I have voted Tory for 36 years and this is the first time that I don’t think they are the most economically sensible and I blame them and Brexit nonsense for the economic decline that we are seeing. The current Tory MPs are thinking of their own prejudices rather than what’s best for the economy.

I appear to be part of your collective.

I'm going to be interested to see what overall % of voters chose LD. Imagine if 51% of voters voted LD, running on a single issue of stop Brexit. That would send a message even if they came away with no more seats.

There are a lot of people with a similar view.

It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
