I had to laugh when a Momentum person was quoted as saying “We just can’t afford to go into an election with a deputy leader set on wrecking Labour’s chances.”

As opposed to having Corbyn as leader? laughlaugh

What are Labour up to? Self destruction just before an election? Watson's image is all Mr Reasonable - a bloke who can sort stuff out.
You couldn't make this stuff up....

Both main parties are gradually moving towards their extreme edges. This is a golden opportunity for the Lib Dems to claim that vacated middle ground.

Maybe not Eric.I think their bks to democracy approach might not be the vote winner they think it is.

New rules for new members soon? Must abide by the marxist bible or whatever. People were concerned when the Tory membership elected Boris, I think the base that supports Corbyn/Len is far larger and holds more potential to keep a wrecking ball in charge.

But the membership are all remain voters so why the PLp is not listening to its members (like Jc always says it does) is confusing.

Demanding an end to Brexit is neither Liberal nor Democratic.

I used to think Ed Balls and Ed Milliband were thick/challenged. How I wish to have that calibre back in the Labour Party.

On R4 recently some members MPs were saying Loer Starmer was the most intelligent person they had ever met.

Then you had Angela Rayner the other week in that long debate apologise to Bercow “I don’t really know the rules but will speak my mind”. You’ve been there years putting your hand up claiming ineptness and then permitted to speak is baffling.

Wonder where this fits in with the plan for St JC getting elected (as is his and Lens plan) vs Momentum starting to flex their muscles. Is JS secretly laughing or worried he is going to miss the shot at the top job.

Why not?

It wasn't the Lib Dems who decided to have the Referendum, in which roughly 30% of the people voted Leave.

They're a joke.

This moment in political history and that's what they're fighting over.

Because the majority voted to leave. No mention of ‘leave only if there’s a good deal’, just leave. We shouldn’t even be having leave v remain arguments any more. We voted to leave so we should be out.

Wonder where the MP's will stand after this. I lot did not vote for Corbyn and surly must be looking over their shoulders. Will they jump or cling on.

Um yes they did - they campaigned strongly in favour of having a referendum.

It was in their manifesto

https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/2013/05/eu-r...

Their manifesto pushed for the 2016 referendum.

Yes but they didn’t like the result. Apparently we all a bit too thick to understand what was being offered.
