Nor me, but speaking with someone who developed it...speech stopped. Not surprising really.

With Greta's latest freebie there's the added issue of diesel fumes, depending on wind etc.

I'll just let the weather do that when the current prophesies of doom fail to materialise, just like all the others from 10, 15, 20 years ago.

That's the trouble with the gradual ramping up of scaremongering. To start with it sounds plausible, but with each iteration more and more people start to question it. With XR's antics and Greta's tantrums this year, AGW is definitely starting to lose its audience.

I don't think it's jumped the shark yet, but the fin is definitely in sight.

You either have not done much, if any sailing or you were on a very poorly maintained boat.

I know a few Yachties (time in Lymington), quite a few get sea sick, but as experienced sailors they have techniques to suppress it (most of the time).

You are talking twaddle

That figures.

I haven't been on a superyacht with twin chunky diesel engines, Greta is having a cool eco-experuence.

Some sailors do get seasick and some only get it at the beginning of a sail.

I do not suffer from seasickness although I do not recommend going out in a real blow after a really good night out.

I’ve sailed for most of my life, 25m yachts down to 10m. Our current yacht is 11.5M. Normally sailed two up and occasionally fully crewed or I sail single handed. We occasionally do a bit of racing for fun.

La Vagabonde is sailing at 9knts 72deg true.

The wind is averaging 23knts 172deg true.

They are currently quite a long way south equivalent of a little North of the Cape Verde Islands so hardly very far North yet.

I’ve a mate who was a project manager on The Black Pearl. It does not smell of diesel or anything else unpleasant.

If Greta managed the outgoing trip on an ex Vendee Globe yacht I’m sure she will be fine on a cruising cat.

All very well that you enjoy the back slapping on PH.

Out there in the real world, you guys are seen as the outdated and marginal opinions.
How will you correct that?
I think you need to venture out of your shell a bit laugh

From the surveys I've seen, issues about climate change come waaaaay down on most peoples' list of concerns.

I mix with a very wide cross section of people, all ages, all interests and all social groups, and I'm sorry to report that the vast majority think Greta and XR's tantrums are laughable. Obviously your (jerk)circle of eco buddies are more enlightened.

Whether it concerns people is irrelevant.

Your need to add unnecessary adjectives sums up your character and opinion.

Fortunately opinions like yours can be largely ignored.

Ffs, you mean the real world where simpering fks knit yoghurt, superglue themselves to windows and cancel one of their three flights abroad this year on their iPad, or the real world where no one gives a st and are trying to survive and compete in the second and third worlds?

fking real world. Let me know when you've experienced it.

It's not a marginal outdated opinion, and doesn't need correcting.

Take a look at this United Nations global poll with over 7 million respondents.

Looking into the detail, the optional priority “action taken on climate change” sits in last place among all age groups, also by gender, and by education level, but not in countries where people live that have medium to very high “HDI” which stands for Human Development Index. There, it's very low but not last.

These are countries like the UK where middle class hippy wannabes don't read scientific papers (forgiveable) but believe the nonsense that they're told by lazy media parrots and political extremists using climate as a smokescreen, some of which operate via a 16-year old school skipper.

Nickgnome can now take note of what's actually largely ignored.

I like exposing ignorant bigots.

Greta has probably got another 70 years or so and I’m confident she will find her niche.

Wishing someone ill is not normal.

When do you plan to start on PH?

After taking a look at the inconvenient truths regarding opinion in the UN global poll?

Not that you'll be changing your outdated marginal opinion sonar of course.

Thank goodness you didn't ignore my post, presumably as it wasn't a diatribe.

Enjoy.
