As well as the march and a sit-down protest in the conference centre, there were shows of international solidarity among young people from around the world, including a picnic in a central Madrid park.

Joking aside it looks like Greta is feeling the strain of the constant media attention. Her parents are your classic self-aggrandising luvvies and haven't known when to step in, probably lapping up the attention.

She's starting to lose interest now as her attention seeking doomsday whining is increasingly being ignored - and rightly so. I'm calling it right now : she'll be toast by the end of next year and you'll hardly see or hear her name mentioned.

An 82 page thread of frothing gammon rarely leaves the front page on NP&E so it looks very much like she isn't being ignored...and that's just by the bedwetters who are scared of her (sorry, concerned about her welfare wink), let alone those outside of the echo chambers, in the real world.

No worries, common decency seems lacking in these parts so I was only too glad to help

Joking aside, you do make a very valid point.

She's just the latest version of the Kony 2012 guy, soon to be forgotten for the next big thing.
