I’m sorry but if I was atop a train and somebody tried to drag me off by my ankles then they have attempted to endanger me and I’d be kicking out. It’s a precarious enough position as it is without some arse trying to unbalance me on top of a curved train top.
Oh feck off. He's lucky he wasn't pushed off the other side. W*nkers.
The violence promoters have arrived and I rest my case. rofl

Would you be daft enough to climb atop a train though? I know I've never been in danger of being dragged from the roof of a train by an angry mob.
Did I just read that the man who put himself and others in danger by climbing on top of a train is complaining that someone might be trying to get him off it ?

Wonders never cease frown
rolleyes

He put himself in danger, not others...they weren’t allowed on the train.

I've lost count of the number of times I was minding my own business on top of a tube train and some selfish commuter tried to drag me off and duff me up. Something needs to be done!

You miss the fecking point.

They’ve not dragged anybody off anything or all stood around somebody giving him a kicking.

And now the keyboard warrior side of you has emerged rofl

You’ve made no point at all numbnuts. He was responding to an attempt to manhandle him that could have resulted in him falling off the train and being seriously injured.

Oh...

...dipstick.

Are you sure you have time to be posting on this thread? Someone somewhere might be being mean about Greta. Off you charge....

Who kicked first? The protestor. He went looking for trouble & got what he deserved.

23 pages of extinction rebellion being a terrorist threat?
23 pages discussing whether they've crossed the line, and what it would take for them to be considered to have done so, to be precise - which is quite different.
The point is they’ve come nowhere near to crossing the line, the whole premise of the question is nonsense.

Only on PH could this be seen as an actual possibility.

In fact the only violence shown has been done TO them not BY them.
Miss the video where the XR guy kicked someone in the head? smash
Wasn’t he being dragged by the foot off the train at the time?
Not at the time, no.

Someone reached towards his foot and he kicked the guy in the head. THEN his foot was grabbed and dragged off.

I'd say in that hypothetical scenario of yours that you'd have done a good job of endangering yourself.

No, but the fact they use violence would suggest that they're not entirely peaceful.

Incidentally, has any sensible person ever had the chance to face-up to Little Miss Thunberg to ask her some searchingly appropriate rebuttals of her fantastic fanatical 'beliefs' - to see whether or not she is even capable of having a sensible debate ?

My own view is that she is an impressionable young person (I nearly said 'child' but I guess that would be scribbled out ....) who has somehow been programmed to believe in some of the garbage she actual speaks, but could never justify them.

She's just like Malala- a young girl with a story who has been chosen as a face for a faceless group. Like politicians kissing babies.

I wish her no ill, but an environmental group should really have some venerable scientist ranting at the UN. Depressingly I think they know that Greta will be more effective.

If you see the footage of her being interviewed without a prepared statement, it's not quite so impressive.

No. The whole point of (ab)using a child in this way is that anyone countering her will be easily made to look like the bad guy.

It's just another tactic from some really unpleasant people for whom the climate is just a lever to power.

Apropos Ms Thunberg (how amusing, Autocorrect changed it to Thunderbird!), where is she now? Wasn’t she travelling down to South America or something? Considering the Swedish schools autumn term started towards the end of August, she’s certainly missing out class time .
