Lets hope the police are scarce on the ground when the public give them a battering . I have zero time for these idiots and given the chance would love to punch one hard .
The amount of times I'm seeing this kind of violent comment on a thread that is supposedly about ER being terrorists is amazing.
Just to repeat myself from the weekend:

But I'm not sure who is the more utter scum? O'Malley for the criminal act or his solicitor, Chantel Gabor, for accepting money to defend this oxygen thief.
I think that Solicitors and Barristers should pay the same fine/serve the same sentence as their clients if they are found guilty. biggrin
They have to (accept the case)... Google cab-rank rule

Edit: for clarity

Police bill in at £37M.

That's a lot of money, how many wind chimes & dream catchers would that buy?

Time to stop spending money on the police protecting them and let the public sort it out.

Thats a ridiculous answer. Victim blaming pure and simple.

Should the girl in the short skirt accept responsibility for the moron who can’t control himself and rapes her?

These particular victims went out looking to cause people problems and were amazed when the reaction was negative.

A girl in a short skirt raped you say? Well who can argue with that? Oh well I guess you win, that must make XR the victims here. Poor XR. For someone who claims not to support XR you certainly waste a lot of energy ineffectively supporting XR.

More disruption planned in the runup to Christmas

Can't see getting in the way of stressed Christmas Shoppers on an Oxford Street that's already jam-packed around that time of year will go down well
Mayor Khan will probably invite them in for tea
Personally I hope the public turn against them and they reap the consequences of their actions

What are you blathering on about? Ridiculous comparison and a very Godwin-esq go-to which just accentuates the weakness of that type of argument.

Antagonise someone and it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that you'll receive repercussions that may not be to your liking. Do it over and again over a continued period of time, multiply that by many thousands of cases and you can't seriously wonder why tempers might boil.

It doesn't mean that those dishing out the repercussions are worthy and innocent, but at least be honest enough to take some responsibility for your part in the situation you now find yourself.

The only reason the idiots on the tube train roof are being talked about is because it has so far been the only incidence of potential violent repercussions (which calmed down to nothing in a matter of seconds). Given how much nonsense London has had to put up with this summer, the XR enthusiasts have got away extremely lightly.
I'd suggest that Londoners should be commended and applauded for the remarkable restraint they've shown while faced with such disruption to their everyday lives and certainly not compared with rapists in such a daft fashion.

Utter rubbish. It's never acceptable to start giving someone a kicking, especially when you're mob handed.

Only on PH would you hear arguments defending this bks or trying to justify it.

i agree, it's totally unacceptable to try and kick someone. Ever. That applies to both parties in this particular little contretemps.

Did you just equate a woman’s right to wear what she chooses with deliberately antagonistic and antisocial behaviour?

You do, of course, realise that it was the idiot on the roof of the train who actually started the kicking. So at least we can agree that his actions of violence were unacceptable.

Although, on your hurried quest for outrage, you do seem to have completely disregarded the fact that I don't condone the violence, despite understand why it might escalate. Understanding why doesn't equal celebrating. Understanding why doesn't equal justifying. Understanding why doesn't equal supporting.

Never? You can never ever ever defend yourself or somebody else using force?

Well stone the crows.

To use your extremely illogical argument above.

If I see a woman being raped I shall not intervene with violence as its never acceptable, afterwoods ill point her to your comment.
