He reordered then him and the chef came over and apologised again, prostrating themselves like they'd killed my dog. I just kept saying it's fine, it's not an issue.

There are lots of young hipster type people in here so I presume they are terrified some idiot is going to make a big deal of it like the story in the OP.

Even if I'd taken a bite I would have still reacted in the same, quiet way. Amazingly it wouldn't have traumatised me for life.

I was given a chicken quesadilla TWICE after requesting the veggie one in Chiquito. That was a while ago to be fair but the Tortilla by work often ask me if I want the chorizo in the veggie breakfast. I would complain but the staff are really nice bar the odd idiot. In fact having now written this down it seems some something very simple they could reinforce to the new recruits so I might drop them a mail.

We don't want to eat it and it's not the end of the world if we do but the ignorance is just mind-blowing.
