When he was glibly applying characteristics to remainers as a whole.
Well, Powerstroke probably shouldnt be taken too seriously on these things - he's fairly polarised.

I just don't think you can call higher education as a true barometer of intelligence, and I think it's possible to make a good case university educations have been dumbed down of late. Even the big4 consultancy firms are moving away from graduate only hire.

In a way we may agree - possibly more free thinking but that doesn't make them correct on BREXIT. Although 52% or so got the answer right to leave, perhaps for many for the wrong reasons. And the same for Remain, actually even fewer had a clue - they just voted to protect their own end at the expense of the less fortunate economically.

Look how time and time again Remainers talk about their own economic marvellousness, and how they are OK and off etc - but it wasn't the EU that built this but other factors. Sure, it may have helped; but far from the only reason. Likewise for leaving, trade friction could be an issue (if negotiations screw up), but we have to deal with divergent economics and global issues.

So, maybe Remain did have more degrees; but doesn't make them smarter or "righter"; but from displays in here you might infer several negative traits though.

That smug ugly toad and his pathetic bunch of slimy little weasels can finally stop embarrassing our country on the European stage. Its taken a while but we've found a tangible benefit of Brexit.

Shouldn’t be a problem. If you can’t hack it here, move to one of the remaining EU countries.

I’m sure we can all come up with anecdotal stuff. My Grandad fits that perfectly, but that’s was then and this is now.

Disparaging degrees is a reflection on yourself not the quality of the degree or student/graduate.
What a nonsense. Some degrees are a complete joke. A waste of time and money, and a shameful con on those thick enough to get them.

How does saying that reflect on me?
It reflects completely. Your judgement is both prejudiced and flawed.

What is the basis of saying a degree in a particular subject is a joke.

Perhaps you misunderstand what a degree is for. It’s about the learning and not necessarily the subject.

Don't tell me, you've got the BSc (Hons) in Surf Science and Technology that is being offered by Plymouth?
You are correct. I haven’t.

What relevance is that to anything.

There were many classical degrees which may seem very odd to the narrow minded. It’s about the learning though, not just the subject.

Looking at those statistics as presented I'd say highly educated people are incapable of producing easily comprehensible infographics. I've thought about them until my head hurts and I still can't work out what the hell they are supposed to be showing us.
You are not educated or free thinking enough to understand them, I am afraid we will need to remove your right to vote or express an opinion smile
You can hold whatever opinion you like. Whether that opinion has any merit is not for you alone to decide.

The ‘speech’ such as it was. Crass.
https://youtu.be/RBMvZRf9Scs

Dan Hannah had a bit more grace.
https://youtu.be/PvckzDuiaf8

Having watched most of the speeches some of it was a right old mix of blustering nonsense, tears, anger. Some of it was touching. But my overwhelming sense is the sheer inability of the actual institutions to actually consider an alternative future for the EU which doesn’t involve closer integration and more union. Which means nothing has been learned.
