I did say that a while back. He will likely be released before Christmas, though he would be unable to return to his home in the north.

I thought all the post morts had been done? hence they have released the bodies.

So why they hold up with the causes of death and the time they died?

A lorry driver from Co Armagh has denied being involved in an alleged human trafficking plot linked to the deaths of 39 people discovered in a refrigerated container in the UK.

Christopher Kennedy, 23, from Darkley, Co Armagh, appeared at the Old Bailey in London before Mr Justice Edis .

He pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit human trafficking offences between 1 May 2018 and 24 October 2019 by arranging or facilitating the travel of other people with a view to exploitation.

He also denied conspiring to assist unlawful immigration over the same period.

Eamonn Harrison, who is wanted in connection with the discovery of 39 bodies in a refrigerated container in Essex, can be extradited from Ireland to the UK, a judge in Dublin has ruled.

May I suggest he is brought over to the SE England by road and ferry in a refrigeration unit like those poor Vietnamese people.

What with what is happening in China right now it would seem to reinforce the idea of placing more emphasis on border control, especially when illegal entry is a relatively hot potato at the moment!
Perhaps the UK can thank its stars that it is a relatively small island, in the North Sea?

Hear hear. There's not really going to be a punishment suitable for what these people are responsible for. As you say, the way those Vietnamese immigrants were treated was beyond callous.

The High Court has granted a lorry driver an appeal against his extradition to the UK, where he is wanted for his alleged role in transporting a refrigerated trailer in which 39 migrants were found dead last October.

Eamon Harrison, from Mayobridge in Co Down, is being sought by the British authorities to face 39 counts of manslaughter, conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration, and conspiracy to commit human trafficking under the UK's Modern Slavery Act.

GB is an island, the UK isn't. Hard to believe a passionate, patriotic Brexiter can't get basic facts about his own country right. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised.

The UK an island nation, made up of GB and NI and stacks of little islands around the world, is it not?

No, because NI isn't an island. We have a land border with another country. You may have heard about the "Irish Border" in recent years? Has been, and continues to be a hot little topic. The failure to understand, or to want to understand this, is causing a bit of political difficulty and economic uncertainty at the moment.

He’s quite right “Great Britain” is an island nation, part of an archipelago of thousands of islands off the west coast of Europe.

The United Kingdom is Great Britain + NI which is part of another island in the same archipelago but joined politically rather than physically to GB

For clarity this is the court in the Republic of Ireland, not the U.K. High Court

I have a feeling he's going to get justice. Quite a lot of justice in fact.

They probably don’t really care. They will just go quiet. But will probably believe and say in private it was an accident and mo doesn’t deserve the sentence.

Must be a miscarriage of justice, he said originally it was nothing to do with him, totally innocent your honour. On the plus side "Justice for Mo" he got justice, just not that they reckoned on smile
