Ok, well as there are only three answers, Leave / Remain / Didn’t vote why not share your views? You seem very keen to.
Let him speak for himself.

I don't think it's foregone either

As I said I don't think they're remotely on the same scale as Labour with their issues.

But it doesn't look good to stand on a stage and commit to one thing and then do another.

Anyway the debate is on time to see who's the biggest muppet.

Soundbites in cheap TV electioneering shows are dangerous as people take them seriously.
The guy who says what the person asking the question wants to hear gets the claps. The guy who says we should hold on, get a sense of perspective, don't let ourselves get dragged down by all the emotional bks and crap surrounding a serious issue (to some extent) and let's hold a meaningful inquest into all discriminatory behaviour won't.
That's because Mr Patel, who asked the question isn't asking a rhetorical question, isn't anti-semitic and has no agenda.
Or does he, as the article you linked goes on to explain?

What is the apparent Tory anti Muslim agenda ?
When Baroness Warsi, a former `Tory Party Chair and Sajid Javid, the Chancellor are / have recently called for a full inquiry into Islamophobia in the Tory Party and 25 members (15 current and 10 former) councillors are suspended in the past week, that would suggest there is some anti-Muslim agenda. You can keep pretending there isn’t, but there is something to look into, even if clears everyone.

Why are so many on here pretending nothing has happened, even this quote is ridiculously selective of the google search that came up, picking only the reports that they think show bias and ignoring all the other hundreds of links

I don't know what that's meant to prove. Turkish state television, the Islamic Human Rights Commission, the BBC AND the Independent report stories about Islamophobia in the Tory party. Case closed....

Mr Parakeet seems to think the 15 suspended councillors and 10 former councillors run the Tory Party and set that agenda.

No I don’t, but you and the other “wise” monkeys on here refuse point blank to engage in genuine discussion, or to even consider that there may be some substance to it. Personally, I hope the Tories get their backsides handed to them on a plate in the next election.

Flat earth gets 297 million hits, compared to 538,000 for Islamophobia Tory party.

But does that constitute anti Muslim ?

An anti Muslim agenda suggests that policies are in place and / or being considered that would be discriminatory and negative towards Muslims.

I don’t see that.

There may well be a few members who don’t like Muslims but that is hardly an anti Muslim agenda by the entire party.

Haha! You want it to be true and you want it to be true NOW. You want it to be worse than it likely is. Admit it!
Regardless of your agenda though, nobody is denying that there's been issues but the 'evidence' provided so far, which we've been asking for from the protagonists, just doesn't support it being a widespread problem.

Easiest soundbite and easiest win in the world for Sajid Javid to say "I'm a muslim and I've seen absolutely no evidence of Islamophobia in the Conservative Party".

He chose not to say that and instead called for an independent inquiry.

Whatever you or I might think that suggests he thinks there is something that warrants an independent inquiry and he's probably closer to it and better placed than you or I in how he's formed that view.

Thats like saying labour doesn't have a problem with anti semitism - it does, even though the party's agenda is not to be racist against Jews.

Not a widespread problem, but a problem enough for it to be noticed by those the abuse is directed at.

Cheers for that. So the Brexit agenda will kinda make it hard for you to give your vote to the Tories too?
Like I said, don't sweep any discrimination under the carpet but deal with it. I think it's best dealt with holistically, not Islamophobia, sexism, ageism, anti-Judaism or homophobia on their own but in one fell swoop. I don't want countless separate inquiries, I want a policy in place where we know, and they know, that there are defined limits in place and that we know what happens when the boundaries are breached. It's a tricky one for MPs where they do often have to approach issues of race, gender, sexuality, culture and religion and confront and deal with negative issues that the rest of us don't have to or don't have to publically! Things like gender pronouns, provisions for transgender people, elements of cultural practices that are not desirable, the Israel/Palestine issue....
We also know that some people, who make out they are there to help downtrodden people, actually thrive on and make a living from division. I don't want them involved in this process.

Which means what ?

Ignore Brexit but say the Torys will reduce your tax bill, and providing further funding for issues that you are interested in / concerned by.

You wont vote for them because a handful of Tory Councillors dont like Muslims ??

There will also be Tory Councillors who don't like jews, black people, white people, women, men, gays etc etc

So nobody will vote for them.

exactly. The thread has raised my eyebrows because what the OP was saying is so far from what I see and think even as a Leave voter. I will vote Tory. I have to take his experiences and views at face value as true as I have no reason not to hence why I was saddened to hear that his view in return of Leavers/torys etc appear very much at odds with mine.

And as Voight K said we/most people I would wager want discrimination stopped and stamped out of all kind.

You don't have to be of any leave/remain/muslin/any faith or non to hold good views on what society should be or could be. I struggle to also see with the question of how a muslin should vote in the GE as its mixes apples with pairs. But I do now recognise this may well be an issue for the OP or other faiths for the reasons the OP has given. Just saddened that he has linked it to "leavers" or "torys" as that's so not what Im part of or any of my friends are like.

Can having an issue with FGM or Mosques teaching that homosexuality is wrong be classed as anti-Muslim? Or is it just condemning things that have no place in today's society?
