If somebody asks me about you and why you didn't do something I wouldn't know. Why should I know the reason behind Boris not being interviewed by Andrew Neil?
Well you seem to think he shouldn’t... why? Btw ‘because he doesn’t have to....’ isn’t a good enough reason.
He is standing to be Prime Minister when faith in politicians and trust in government has never been lower. He has an opportunity to address the clear questions of trust surrounding him, and is refusing.
No. I'm just questioning everyone's obsession with these interviews.

No. Trust in politicians has never been, lower, not just the government.

He has addressed questions surrounding him - just not with Andrew Neill.
Agreed.

Thank goodness it'll be done with after the interview election on the 12th.

How will leaving the EU help us control the amount of 'people of colour' coming to the country?
It won't, he said people of "talent". Channel 4 have taken the original video down and apologised.

Starting to see why Boris has given C4 a wide berth.

Shame on Channel 4 then, that's very poor from them (the original video, not, taking it down and apologising)

I see the lefties are now saying Boris obviously planned to say 'people of colour' but then either misspoke or changed his mind at the last second to hide his racist views.

I am still not seeing a reason to vote tory and put him in No 10 other than "he isn't Corbyn". At that rate, I might as well vote for my neighbours cat...
The fact he isn’t Corbyn is all the reason you need. A Corbyn pm would do so much harm to this country, the negative effects would be felt for generations.

I’m not impressed by Boris, but I too would rather vote for him or your neighbour’s cat than let Corbyn into number 10.
I don't see why we should vote Tories & Boris in just because their main opposition is a pile of ste. I'm half tempted to vote for the Labour candidate here based on local issues which he has form for working, compared to the incumbent tory who does feck all and is defending a 30 or so vote majority.

Heard this on the radio earlier, https://www.itv.com/news/2019-12-05/johnson-writes...

Boris is obsessed with "get brexit done" and nothing else. To write a whiny letter of "do what I say" sounds like something Trump would do, arrogant and infantile.

The radio also played a soundbite from Johnson about "get brexit done" telling us that it legally we'd no longer be in the EU. Yes Boris, but we'll still be paying subs and comforming to EU regs until a trade deal is done which the EU have absolutely no reason to hurry and get done - perfect situation for them to be receiving money from us but not have any rights whatsoever.

And he's got the temerity to tell Corbyn that he has “already done serious harm to trust” in politics". He should look in the mirror - what happened to dying in a ditch Boris ?

I think Boris sees Brexit as making his name and he'd always be remembered as a great leader like Churchill or Thatcher. Problem is he has none of the character or ability. I think he'd probably use "Make Britain great again" if Trump hadn't already used that one.

Given this mornings "leaked" report that Corbyn is talking about, can anyone explain to me if Boris is telling the truth and Starmer and presumably Stephen Barclay and pretty much everyone else are wrong on the GB/NI issue?

Yes, it isn't like he has never used the exact same phrase before... Oh wait...
It always seems to be the same posters who get duped. Strange that seeing as how liar is one of their favourite words...

Channel 4 says they 'misheard' him. Righto. Of course, the damage is done and this will become gospel now it's already been shared amongst the brainless morons on social media.

Yeah cos they're the only ones with anything to fear right? When they jump on their private jets and fvck off, Corbyn's tax burden won't fall on the rest of us! The level of economic illiteracy in the UK is frightening.

But he's done interviews - just not the one you want him to do.

If you want less obfuscation ask the source, rather than someone who doesn't know the reasons why he isn't doing the interview.
And yet more dodging. Why do YOU think he’s not doing it. If you can think for yourself, it’s not a difficult question and doesn’t need you to enter the frightening world of Boris’ head.
You're the one obsessed with him doing this interview and rather than seek the opinion of some random on the internet.......why don't you think for yourself and ask someone who will know the exact reasons why.
WR, you seem to be obsessed about defending him.

I responded to you, and specifically to your stance of “he doesn’t have to do it ner ner ne ner ner”. We know that. And whilst you’ve got a lot to say about it, you can’t articulate why, I’m your view, he isn’t doing it.

Interesting to see the change that Kier made to the wording of the report.
report says high street prices likely to increase in price
Kier writes immediately underneath...
High Street prices will rise...

Just more bks from Liebour that the easily duped lap up without actually checking first. That is two in one morning.

The link to that tweet is simply because it has the document on it.

It's a treasury document apparently.

It seems to go against what Boris has been claiming.

No he has changed the wording look at the next line in the report which says
Constitutes tariff equivalents on 30% on purchases in NI
and he again writes immediately underneath...
Document shows for NI importers, cumulative effect is equivalent on 30% tariff.

Now either he isn't very bright and like you doesn't understand what he is reading or he is changing the wording deliberately to dupe the easily led (by donkeys probably) Personally having seen him talk I will go with the former...

I think what bhstewie is commenting on is the actual document which suggests there will be export declarations required from NI to UK, something Boris again today said is not true.

So, we are being asked to believe either the actual text of the Protocol on GB and NI from the deal/the initial risk assessment published at the time of the deal/this leaked HM Treasury document/Boris' own words at the point the deal was struck VS Boris now saying they are all wrong.

Which one would you suggest is true?

If I am reading it correctly the pictures are the original document with Starmer adding comments through his tweets.

I'm asking about the official original treasury document v Boris's claims i.e. NO checks or paperwork whatsoever, great deal blah blah blah.

Any comment on the actual document though?, assuming it’s real that is.
