Couldn't do worse than Corbyn's lot. Who will just throw money at it to be consumed by more and more inefficient processes, middle management and crap procurement.

Throwing more money at it will not fix the problems in the NHS. But the changes it needs are not palatable because everyone has been indoctrinated with "NHS good, any attempt to change or reform it is evil".
the NHS needs reform, no doubt, to reflect a changing world but the last lot of Tory reforms (after declaring in their manifesto that there would be no top down reforms) were widely regarded by healthcare professionals as a disaster. It needs to be cross party/professional consensus. Not sure if this will be possible under a Tory admin.

I'm far more concerned over Labours' intentions for the safety of this country than the NHS or treating chicken meat.
Where are you going to go when the chlorinated chicken makes you ill?

This would actually be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. Gutter press has convinced people that we would actually be in physical danger if Corbyn got in, despite the Tories having cut 20,000 police officers and decimated the legal system to the point where terrorists get mistakenly let out early and start murdering people.
Labour will just bleed the country dry again (as history tells us) then the Tories have to be the 'bad guys' and make cuts.......

That's the one. Were you complaining when Labour brought the scheme in? No, and neither was I. As a nation we are learning hard lessons. DO I think Labour set out to achieve what happened on London Bridge? No of course not. It's not their fault, nor is it the Tories fault.
What happened on the bridge (and beforehand) is entirely the fault of the man wielding the knives.
What's a sensible guy like you doing on here? Good post.

She is by far the poorest and most biased political editor the BBC have ever appointed.

Revealing information that can influence voting is just not on and is ‘a big thing’ which is why she and the BBC have been warned.
Thats a strong claim. Wasnt Paul Mason employed by the BBC for a while?

From what i've read there is universal agreement that more beds and staff are required. Our local services are excellent which makes it easy to think it's like this everywhere. Clearly it isn't.
And they could be had if they stopped wasting so much money on assorted stupidnesses.

I don’t recall Mason being the BBC Political Editor, he was something to do with Newsnight IIRC.

And some of that also stems from the PFI deals that were done under Blair/Brown. Derby hospital is a case in point. Much trumpeting at the time about the shiny new PFI financed unit (that led to the closure of the older buildings). But the simple fact is that it was built too small, with no scope for growth in the coming years. It was too small from practically the day it opened. Of course, by then the Tories are in power and now apparently it's their fault that there are not enough beds...

I base my evidence re the NHS on first hand experience and my SIL is specialist Nurse and has been in the system for 15 years. She votes Conservative and says she has a great job. Yes it has issues but she thinks it's senior management that cause problems. I can see that real spending against GDP has flat lined. However the aged population and dare i say immigration is causing a big strain. I am glad the Conservatives have pledged more money.

My lovely lady is a ward manager in a child and adolescent unit in North Wales. She has first hand experience of the cuts that her service has borne under the tory government.

There is a great degree of cognitive dissonance amongst conservative voters.

It's almost as if their Utopian coccoon/Daily Mail reading. . (Slippers, Life Insurance, buy a gold coin, crap china, hedge trimmer, can grabber, foot warmers for the cold days) is all that matters to them. Ironically all Chinese made!

Change is needed.

No problem with Chinese made here. The Chinese are very industrious. I don't wear slippers, read the Mail, I hate Gold. I don't trim my hedge. Some changes are required. Labour will bring on vicissitude. Just as well they won't get the keys smile

And funded by Westminster. Welsh Government has had no means of fundraising until very recently. Should they should have cut the defence budget in the meantime?

An interesting scenario. What do you think would happen - Johnson elevated, perhaps ? Wouldn't get rid of the old Etonians, of course.

Well it is.

If you are struggling with the implications of that, take a look at Scotland for another example.

Frankly, you are far from a “trophy” husband.
