Would this do the trick?

I'm planning on using a 65" TV as the primary monitor and then will add two smaller monitors at a later date.

Christ yes!

I ran triple monitors and I have a Gtx 970 graphics card. Ran iracing at full everything, 1080p. Same card now runs dual 2160p as I don't need triple any more (use my rift for racing)

I had to have one on display port to have triple monitors. I used an adapter as none of my screens had display port ports.

If you are going for three monitors then I assume for immersive gaming? If so you won't be able to sit anywhere near them. I had to use a 40" on my desktop as a stopgap whilst waiting for my 27" 2160p screens and it was horrible. Just too big for desktop use. Further away would work but then you lose the benefit of the side screens if they are not at your sides.

Thanks very much. I'll look into smaller monitors for the peripheral ones. Cheers.

Be interesting to see your approach.

Usually with triple monitor setups for sim racing you have 3 monitors the same size and make, and overlap the bezels to keep them to a minimum, and as the 3 monitors are the same, you can keep the colours and brightness the same across all 3. You are trying to make the joins as seamless as possible.

Using one big and two small screens is different. Will be odd. If you are trying one monitor, then maybe adding the sides later, you are going to want 3 x 65"

And as for 65" as your main screen.... that's just massive. I assume you'll be in a driving seat? You can't possible have that on a desk.

How serious are you about this? A TV is never a good option as there's going to be a fair amount of lag, even if you put it in PC/DVI mode, especially if it's an LCD screen. Plasma used to be fairly ok but again not as good as a proper gaming screen with high refresh and low lag.

Yes, I have a driving seat, wheel, pedals etc. The TV will be wall mounted as it'll be used for home cinema too. The seat will be 3 or 4 metres away I expect, so it'll then just be a case of positioning the smaller side monitors appropriately so that they blend in with the main screen as they'll obviously be a lot closer. If it doesn't work I'll just go for a third monitor the same as the other two and do it that way.

I'll give the TV a go and if it doesn't work I'll just get a third monitor.
