Who Will replace Jeremy Corbyn as Labour Leader
Discussion
I think this is relevant as it's simply who should or shouldn't be the next Labour Leader.

So far a couple of people seem to be suggesting they will be up for it.
One being Jess Phillips personally I find it quite laughable and lamentable.
Lisa Nandy is another one. I find her completely lightweight little more than a Labour version of Jo Swinson
Rebecca Long-Bailey looks to be the one that the Corbyn faction would like
Personally I just find it hard to see any of the bigger profile Labour MP's being up to it.

Starmer should get it and is the obvious election winner - intelligent, charismatic, good credentials as former DPP, can appeal to the centrists.
However this is the 2019 Labour party where 3 quid members and the Momentum-influenced rank and file have the vote, and they all want a female leader from the left.
So it'll be Jess Philips or The Rayner.
Either of those two and they are condemned to another electoral defeat already.

You don't need a great political brain, that's what the spads are for. However this is the 2019 Labour party where 3 quid members and the Momentum-influenced rank and file have the vote, and they all want a female leader from the left.

You need someone likeable, able to follow a script, have a reasonable memory and be able to think on their feet.
That's why we've a chubby Hugh Grant in no10.
What about this charming chap.
Lloyd Russell-Moyle
Seems to have the credentials to do the job.

Sure some in Momentum will be thinking - He's a contender

Keir Starmer or Yvette Cooper would be the sensible choice IMO.
Yvette Cooper - just no. May not be a too radical whack job but that's the only thing positive I could say about herGassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
