Reason #267 for why online shopping is inferior.

When you buy a suit online, they don't give you the travel bag.

Yes it's cheap pastic, but its the done thing I tell you!!
Depends where you but them from surely?

I buy my clothes from Tiger of Sweden and you get a travel bag even if you buy just a blazer I’ve got a wardrobe full of them.

Why would you wear a travel bag?

I just had a look at their website, and am considering starting g a GoFundMe fundraising for food parcels for their models.

Eh? How is wearing masks helping to get things back to normal. its EXACTLY the opposite of that.

Last week there were noises about getting back to normal, and then BOOM, this one comes at us.
Because it will give reassurance to those who are reluctant to get back to normal.
You have to assume that the polling supports this course of action at very high numbers in favour. A 60/40 split is a disaster if the 40% simply decline to return to the office or use the high street. I have yet to see a survey at the 80-90% level that surely must be required to make this a success.

I wouldn’t, but I do keep the travel bags in my wardrobe.

I wouldn’t waste my cash on M&S clothing - each to their own like.

Sadly, my only assumpstion is HMG are morons. There is no way on earth, it will be 80-90%. Not going to happen.

As already posted, look at Germany, where its having the reverse effect.

Just looked on Tiger Of Sweden site. £500 for a suit. M&S is £250-300 i think.Plus i always buy a few trousers to one blaser.

M&S slim fit also fits me very well, hence stick with it.

Will the Tiger last a lot longer? As these are just works suits I need.

Ive got Tiger suits that are over 10 years old that look brand new, they are expensive but i got a travel bag ;-)

To be fair I don’t wear suits for work and I am a bit of a clothes snob

Quite. While I am not an avid shopper, there would have to be a dire emergency to force me into a shop with a mask. This is not going to resurrect retail nor force people to endure a 2 hour commute. Welcome to the law of unintended consequences...

'Doughnut' towns are on the way. Large shops and services on the outskirts, residential on the high street.

UK high streets set to swap shops for retirement homes as McCarthy & Stone looks to buy up commercial property in city centres

Might doughnut towns be a good thing with town centers having public transport hubs. Actually we have had a model where you go A to B to C on the bus verses A to C in your car now you will live at B and go to A or C directly on the bus.

I think the last thing the north needs is more 'doughnut towns'.
