Nope, that is just adding to yet more people and more congestion.

LONDON IS FULL. And a lot of it due to people from overseas and their families that have settled in the place over the years.

People need to relocate to other areas of the UK Not just london and the South East.

Ive had a think, in no particular order -

Carpet bombing with leaflets on basic manners
New Mayor who does something worthwhile (or just does something)
A shoot to kill police force for anyone carrying a knife
Public execution for anyone walking along whilst staring at their phone, whilst weaving across the pavement
Eyeballs removed for any tool on a bike who thinks they need a flashing light that is brighter than the sun

I used to like London (I was born in Westminster), but in my lifetime I have just seen it become a sprawling mass of Hi rise developments, completely over populated (for the worse), road design was never planed to be wide enough for modern cars and lorries, the roads that were wide have now been filled with bus lanes and cycle lanes adding to congestion, I 100% believe this to be TFLs plan to force people through frustration and Pricing permanently off the roads. Traffic cameras everywhere, god forbid if you ended up in a yellow x box at a set of traffic lights, you will be public enemy No1
Hearing everyday on the news of Drug gangs, Stabbings, muggings.

I am relived my family moved away from the Place. Even the idea of getting the train into town for an evening show has no appeal at all, as that would mean running the Gauntlet of having to put up with the scum that frequent the train at night! And personally I would not use a bus either.

The monuments and Historic buildings are nice, but as for the rest of it. Just flatten it (with most of the People in it).

I have said this before, but at what point do you say, sorry no more people, this City is Full? ....Sadly it seems NEVER,
Property developers just keep building higher and higher and spreading out further and further.
And as for the Mayor and others in the London Council, there's a place to flatten 1st.
So basically when you were young and probably didn't have a car you liked large urban environments.
Now you're older, and a petrolhead, you don't like large urban environments?

That is not an issue with London, that's just getting old!

Err.... commute? Or relocate?
40 year waiting list is a very solid hint.

Id really like to live in Kensington, seems like a nice area. Help me get to my job in London really easily too. But guess what? I cant afford it, so I cut my cloth to suit. wanting the government to subsidise living in prime real estate? Doesnt work.

The irony being if you put point 2: ahead of point 1: I believe you might just have made a Mayoral Campaign Leaflet, and you might do well with it too........

Less notherns telling you how terrible :London is compared to back home, without actually considering going back to their fondly remembered slum.

Nah, super cities are good.

Build tons more mega storey apartments all over zone 1-3 and make them affordable. Build less outside zone 1-3.

Same with rest of UK.

Congestion will go down if they are all living in the centre and not traveling so much.

London is a wonderful city. Ruined by the dheads that live there. Feed them to the alligators and bring back the normal people.

Result of decades of investment being funnelled into the South East.

There is a shortage of social and affordable housing across the UK. Currently 1m families on waiting lists and need for 134,000 new social and affordable houses every year.

Saying dont do them in London is wrong, if there is a shortage of supply everywhere.

Government already owns plenty of land in London it could use.

I work in London and commute - its extremely expensive. I am lucky, I am well paid but many people aren't, how can a nurse working in London afford a £5k pa season ticket? How can your office cleaner afford to get to work if they live a long commute away etc

London cannot function without all of the modestly paid support and key workers. Move em all out to Grimsby where there are cheap houses and London will stop functioning in an instant
