I've just moved to Southbourne and I was wondering if there are any petrolheads nearby and if there are any local meets / events that tolerate elise owners wink ?

And if not whether it's worth me setting something up smile

Maccies at Holes Bay is where all the cool kids hang out wink.

There is a breakfast meet thing at Haynes Motor Museum near Sparkford. Around a hour away from Bourbemouth (just off the A303). Think it's the first Sunday of the month or the last. Sure there is a thread on here about it.

I used to run a 'Cars of Interest' meet on the first Monday of each month, however I moved out Dorchester way and as such the previous venue was unsuitable.

I'm interested in creating a similar event out this way though ☺️

Someone on here used to organise the meets at the driving range in Castle Lane, must have been back in 2014/15... They were very popular, and some great kit showed up. Not sure why it hasn't continued.

Good afternoon,

That was I (Bart)! smile

I moved out Dorchester way a year or so ago and as such organising the event each month at a venue that I sadly never frequented made no sense. However, the small village I live in has a lovely Pub and they would be more than willing - just sadly parking wise I think we would only see around a maximum of 25 cars.

I'm interested in creating a similar monthly meet though utilsing the Worlds End, that would be an ideal location and good drive too.

Poole Quay on a Tursday during the summer. Never been myself and there seems to be a few issues with some of the groups that go.

I think it's the last Wednesday of the month during the summer as well there is one in Henstridge Air Field. Get to go down the runway at whatever speed you want.

There are a couple of other groups on Facebook. Personally I'd avoid them. Their riding is very questionable to say the least. Only a matter of time before someone dies on the ride out.

There is the Poole 'Quay For My Car" Lotus meet on Friday 17th July. Unfortunately for you - as an Elise owner - it's more geared to the '"7" style of Lotus ownership. You could always give them a ring and ask if Elises are ok

I’m not far, in lymington.

Trackday this Saturday 29th in Bedford with a decent bunch, MX5 turbos, M4s and Minis.

👍🏽
