Almost as bad as Vegans preaching their choice like a religion I suppose.......
In your mind... obviously wink
Well I would say in quite a few to be fair - unfortunately if you decide to polarise a debate then both sides of said pole become equal. It is just that those on opposite sides rarely agree on that fact.

ETA - most especially which ever side it is that feels "blessed" with virtuosity in their prescribed choice!

So feeding people, who have taken a moral stance on something, something that they’re morally against; and being proud of it - is (almost) as bad as that person ‘preaching’ their views.

Righhhhhht.

You’re on the right website, that much is true hehe

Are you being deliberately obtuse to generate an argument, or just a bit thick?

I am simply stating that if one side of a debate is something 100% bad for the reasons they believe then the other is it is 100% good for the absolute opposite then both arguments are deserved of equal measure - i.e. a polarised debate. So therefore any anecdote or perspective in relation to either side of that debate is just what it is and by all means do whatever it is you do on either side of said debate to refute or rebut it - but don't try and act like saying it is and of itself unreasonable.

That just makes you a pillock!

Because most are full of st. Like my wife’s vegetarian friend who eats fish. She’s not a fking vegetarian. Invite brother in law over with his vegan kids. Bloody joke, it’s a fad, they’re 9 years old. The mother rings us to enquire what vegan options we were providing. Other than the standard salad bits, nothing! If you are particular about your diet, stay home or go to a restaurant.

You seem triggered. Another!

Yes indeed; your wife’s friend, brother in law and family all sound like they have no integrity; I agree with you beer Anecdotal babble aside; the fact is that there is momentum building, slowly but surely, against meat, dairy and animal agriculture. The company in question, in this thread, is not forcing anyone to do anything but the usual Pistonheads, easily offended, brigade find a way to get their knickers in a twist regardless. Classic stuff hehe

Out of fairness, they should find something nobody wants to eat and make that the only thing they’ll pay for.

Jesus; another one! Blood pressure ok over there old chap? Careful how you go.

What you’re stating is unrelated to the original point made; hence it not worthy of response. You’re posting simple, obvious, statements and dressing them as a revelation. My point is that the company in question has not forced anyone to do anything and they can choose what they reimburse; in this case after a democratic process. You’ve somehow got upset and boasted about feeding non vegan food to vegans!

Try to relax and take stock. Have a word wink

I don’t have a problem with the company policy. Employees have to accept many reasonable policies. Most people including many climate warriors are utter hypocrites. That’s what I mock. We have our E.V buying friends (nothing wrong with that at all), they have it to ‘do their bit to save the planet. Right now they’re in Barbados. They fly long distances on holidays maybe 6-7 times a year, burn rubbish and have chickens and 6 cats.

The simple solution to this is the quit your job, or don't bill for your food.

A whole day? I think the last non-meat meal I had would be about 15 years ago when I stopped having cereal for breakfast.

Every meal I have, has meat.

a "dildo", as they are both meat substitutes.

Now there old bean, do try and keep up at the back... One is both calm and collected - but I sincerely thank you for your concern.

My point is quite valid - you clearly have an axe to grind in this debate and I am going to go out on a limb and say you are at the very least a vegetarian and have made your decision for all manner of reasons you feel are perfectly just and right - all power to you.

I am clearly not of the same persuasion as your good self - I have no animosity to you and utterly respect your choices and I expect just the same in return.

You will tell your anecdotes about us meat eaters and we will tell ours about you veggies - nothing more than healthy debate on an of the now topic.

Turning your side of the debate into some sort of moral crusade is just crass chap, so dial it back a few notches, makes you look a bit of a tt if truth be told!

Cheers... SoG

The sarcasm and tone won’t hide it I’m afraid.

You’ve come onto a debate about company policy regard meal reimbursements and gone off piste - and then attempted to get back to some form of adult conversation; with a mix of babble and obvious statements vaguely dressed up as revelation.

I think it’s passed your bedtime old chap. Have a lie down.

Meat eaters... They believe in vegies. I believe in meat eating,
This thread is ridiculous.
It’s like debating with cavemen.

If a private company wants to set expense policies that support its CSR strategy, that isn’t based on discrimination, then in a free-market economy we should support that.

So just to be 100% clear - you are not actually addressing your bias here and simply attacking the messenger? - How very mature!

Also, kudos for assuming my current time zone as me being any where near to bed time - currently mid afternoon as it happens!

The original topic is actually still interesting though, but I am far more interested in exploring the motivations that led to it - which strikes me as coming from those like yourself who believe in a position on a given topic.

Cavemen? Half of these lot aspire to that level of evolved intellect hehe

A company democratically decides to change its reimbursement protocol.

Cue the snowflakes!!!!!!
