It seems a bit early to be changing the discs when the car is only four years old. What mileage is on it? I think most people would use at least two sets of pads before needing discs.

BTW: What sort of advice are you looking for, is it how to change them yourself?

Ate brake parts are good if you don’t fancy genuine. Try AUTODOC for a good price.

Is that just for the front brakes? I was quoted the same for my 535d, which I believe has bigger discs which bump up the price, I'd of thought yours should be cheaper.

Mine needs discs at 78k miles and will be the second pad change.

I buy ebay brakes or euro car parts, always have for all my cars and fitted myself for not a lot of money and never had any issues I done my 335i front discs and pads for 170 quid and they are great. its the easiest job in the world too if you don't mind getting your hands dirty so why spend 600 quid?

I buy Pagid from EuroCarParts (they don't squeak, despite being non-genuine (what a ridiculous statement)), but I always cringe when someone comes in to pick up Eicher stuff. Now that really is st.
