I thought you'd written in one of your posts that you were in the highly vulnerable group?Coronavirus: Pubs close after positive tests
it says it is mandatory to leave details yet when i went out it said volentary.
I seem to recall you asking advice as to whether you should inform your employers that you had now received the letter from the Govt informing you of something that you were already aware of, but had chosen to cease taking the medication your GP had prescribed for your condition.
Did you ignore the letter that went out on the 22nd June and was received by most within days of that date?
You did get the letter? Or did it get lost in the post?

The timing sounds rather strange. Coronavirus: Pubs close after positive tests
it says it is mandatory to leave details yet when i went out it said volentary.
They went to the pub on Saturday and within that time they developed symptoms to require a test. They also managed to organise a test and have the results back by Monday?
That really doesn't add up.

This - 90% sure they have gone to the pub knowing their tests results were due. They went to the pub on Saturday and within that time they developed symptoms to require a test. They also managed to organise a test and have the results back by Monday?

I wonder if supermarkets collected contact details on entrance how often they would have to close everytime someone who it turned out had the virus went inside.

Looks like a pile of big Jesse's to me. Seemed like people were making the most of the a bad situation.
Went shopping at 9pm and the highstreet was rammed with drinkers taking up the road as well as the pavement.
Seems like quite a few pubs just didn't care about capacity restrictions, yesterday Stonegate pubs were selling the ontap alcohol for 95p per pint plus weatherspoons have been doing ales for 99p since the announcement at the weekend, don't think takeways will work like last time now the temperature is in single digits.

Why do you hate pub culture? a serious question.Sophisticated Sarah said:

If we're put out by the restrictions Parliament are putting in place, and concerned they may keep doing it, and concerned that we're going to have to keep paying for extensions to furlough etc....why is it wonderful to see?I suspect lack of sense where Social Distancing is concerned will be at the heart of figures rising. It may be wonderful to see for an evening, but then you aren't going to be seeing it for 4+ wks
So is it better to have pubs less rammed and people being sensible, but continuing to be able to open? Or have them rammed to the rafters and ultimately then having to shut down?
(I'm not arguing the rights and wrongs of the strategy we are using. There are holes all over the place and the government u-turn on this lockdown seems misguided to me. But if the game isn't played, restrictions will only get worse. People are giving those in control an excuse).
My local was busy last night. Everyone seated, tables of 6 or fewer (we're in Tier 1, or were yesterday). The reports of pubs overcrowded with people standing up has undermined the hard work of the majority who have adapted their businesses and complied by all the rules. The normal, as far as I've seen, has been pubs doing the right thing.
