I can’t help thinking that yesterday’s shenanigans at beaches and parks and people flocking to Cornwall and Wales for a day trip means we are now 48 hours from lockdown.

I hope I am wrong but I can’t see it.

This is staggering what is happening to our world.

Like many I am dreading it!

Like alot of things the morons truly spoil it for everyone else.

The first bit of proper sunshine this year and we get those fktard bellends crammed together on beaches those using the childrens play areas as external gyms and traditionally thicko motorcyclists queueing together at the icecream and burger vans like lemmings/lambs to the slaughter truly make me despair at the stupidity of the human race.

I don't disagree.

I think by the end of the week only essential workers will be permitted to work. Everyone else will have to stay at home except for food/medical shopping and medical emergencies. That will initially last until at least after Easter.

Yep, this is the week me thinks, we have been given ample opportunity to be sensible and grown up about it, it's not working.

I fear that the public simply won't accept a lockdown, the fatality rate for those under 50 without any premorbid conditions is less than one percent so a large minority of people will just go about life like normal.

I think within 24 hours they will when they start getting arrested or the army is out. It could happen

Boggles my mind that these idiots don't look at Italy's death toll numbers. We are pretty much matching them if you take into account how we are two weeks behind.

Just proves how many selfish and arrogant people we have in this country.

Perhaps in big cities only
Very difficult across the whole U.K.

We've had all the spring breakers come down to FL for the beaches and sun. Thankfully, they've stayed on the other coast...in the most part. I really wish they would lockdown the whole place...

Which just proves the point above:

‘Like alot of things the morons truly spoil it for everyone else.’

It’s not ‘the public’, it’s the moronic element of it.

I don't think anyone doesn't want to work. I will end up royally fked by a lockdown as millions others will.

It would have helped if everyone was given financial support not just a small portion.

Some see this as a holiday

I have freinds and family who live on the Norfolk coast.
They said that yesterday the sea front & town centres were a lot busier than usual, virus social distancing not withstanding, due to 'Londoners' coming up to their second homes/holiday homes.

Now whlist I can understand the desire to leave London, or any large town/city in the current situation, but by milling around and not social distancing all they're doing is increasing the risk of spreading the virus to Norfolk and its elderly population much more widely than the current (as of 22-Mar) reported 24 cases.

They're just selfisih, inconsiderate morons.

We are just about to enter lockdown in NZ. Took me by surprise as I thought we were still weeks away.

Life is now really restricted. Can’t leave home except for shopping and walking the dog. Grim.

Hopefully it would be just London.

I think if they did the whole country, it would be an even bigger economic disaster.

As loads and loads of companies would just fold, if being told to stop work for more than a couple of weeks.

I know the company i work for wouldn't survive unless the government pay all costs (rent etc).

I'm starting to think it may not be a bad thing. I've heard a couple of separate reports from locals that our town centre has become a no-go zone during the late evenings already, with cycle gangs of 20-30 balaclava-wearing kids terrorising people trying to get home after work. st like this needs stamping on, hard.

It’s happening in many parts of the country. I’m amazed that some of these people can even feed themselves.

Utter morons ruin it for everyone. I was driving yesterday and saw the local high street absolutely chocka block with shoppers, numerous older people stopping in the street to chat with their friends who were passing. I was amazed at the lack of concern most people were showing.
