Developed by Kings College Hospital. It’s legitimate.

It’s an app that collects data from you about your cv19 symptoms (also general health and location). It’s a great way for researchers to pull together a picture of who has it, and where, quickly.

Please download and use it. At present it doesn’t seem to cater for someone who has had the symptoms but doesn’t have them now (and who’s still alive) - that may change.

Again: please use it. Tracking the spread of this is key.

I'm not a great one for sharing my information but in this case I see a great deal of potential good & zero harm in joining up.

Do it.

This.

We are living in all but unprecedented times, and as such abnormal behaviour is key!

Is this just for people who have or had COVID-19 or what?

Is it Korea that has QR codes next to bus stops and entrances so you can scan your movements. If a case is detected contact tracing can be undertaken.

UK response is a bit ZX spectrum in comparison.

No it asks you to update daily and if you feel well with no symptoms they still want to know.

I've installed it, once you answer the questions and get to the screen with the 'share' button, then what? I click to share but it just stays on that screen, if I click back it goes back to the previous question. I had to exit the app and open it again to get to the main screen. It feels like it's missing a step that completes the questionnaire?

Try deleting and reinstalling?

I installed it yesterday and reported as well. Clicked it today and get a "report symptoms" button. Takes 5 secs a day to do.

People in the west are already tracked by the CIA and MI5 etc by your Facebook and Alexa and Siri, didn’t you get the memo? smile

Unless you tell it, I am pretty sure android phones, via google maps, basically records everywhere you've been.

Go on to google maps, click the burger menu on the left then "your timeline". Mines basically recorded everywhere I have been, including holidays etc.

Downloaded app (android), and input an email and password, but pressing the "create account" button does nothing...
Will try again later I guess...

  • edit - if you are having the same problem, type out your email address fully, rather than letting autofill input it - it seems to be adding a space at the end of the email address and causing the account creation to fail.

I signed up again and this time at the end, underneath 'share' was a 'done' button.

I see sky news are reporting an opt in app based on Bluetooth is coming soon.
Your phone would pick up other phones nearby, and if a user later finds out the have the virus it will contact all of those phones it had picked up in the past x amount of time

It certainly seems just for people who own a mobile phone.

I don't.

A bit like this forum is only for those with internet.

Cuts out some people due to their life choices, the world being an imperfect place, but it is otherwise highly accessible to the majority.

It's not a life style choice. I have been deaf in both ears for over 35 years. The only way I can use a mobile phone is to put it on loudspeaker and broadcast my conversation over a distance of several blocks.

So I have never bothered.

Didn't see this thread. The web site now has more info on it.

2300 or so in my area with 5% give or take indicated showing symptoms.
