This was an excellent broadcast and I believe in years to come it will be regarded as a pivotal point that put Really New Labour on the path to victory
"The path to victory" being behind in the polls, irrelevant to virtually everyone and no better placed to do any better than their last catastrophic election defeat? Funny path to victory.

Do all minor politicians get protection?
The leader of her Majesty’s official opposition?I bloody well hope so.
But yes, he is entitled to official, funded protection.

It was a triumphant appearance and showed us what drives Keir
I expect that some will criticise it as being an old one. Primarily because Keir is in a winter overcoat with a scarf on
Obviously it was filmed last week when it was colder but its not at all important
The winter coat and scarf should be thought of as visual metaphors. They are there to represent protection against unforgiving mean and relentless coldness that all conservatives emanate.
In the broadcast Keir mentions his mother and then its on to what drives him. I am sure some Pistonheader's would have loved him to say a Jaguar E Type or some other classic vehicle and that's maybe the type of answer you may get from Mr Johnson. Keir isn't like that Keir is serious because the country is in the grip of serious problems .
If you want jokes from a Labour Personality then Eddie Izzard is your man Keir means business and that means being serious
The fact that Keir says things like ordinary people worried about the state of the NHS is just the kind of thing we need to hear more of
The NHS is always in trouble when the tories are in power fortunately Labour managed to sort it all out when they came to power in 1997 and within months it was all ok. Now look what has happened since
So its very good that Keir mentions the NHS Personally I wish he had mentioned the growth of food banks and the high amount of housewives who are on Universal Credit turning to prostitution in order to feed their families but maybe Keir is saving that one up. Perhaps he was mindful of the broadcast time of the broadcast and thought it may be awkward if thousands of children watching asked their parents what a prostitute is

I say jolly well done Kier
