Not sure if we’ve had it in the Beer Starmer thread, but this Rayner interview is quite amusing now.

It seems that resigning for being investigated still only applies to Tories. hehe
Shocker. For a man who picks so few battles he does seem to have some terribly bad luck.

Amusing as the hypocrisy is and as low as my opinion of politicians in general is, I do wonder how many of these allegations are politically motivated. Isn’t it something like 10% of MPs being currently investigated for sexual offences? That seems like quite a lot to me over a whole term let alone at a given point in time. One way or the other things seem to be pretty grubby.
I dont doubt there are rotten apples in parliament, but there does seem to be a higher percentage then I would...expect?

Anyhow, I keep saying it. Burgon only as a shadow minister becauss the next Labour leader must either be a womam, identify as one or know what one is. Its 2022. The only mainstream party never to have had a female leader.....
I think there are many, many more compelling reasons why Burgon should never be allowed near the reins of power...

We are on similar wavelengths so don't shoot me down in flames for suggesting something
What if Richard wanted to identify as a woman ?

If they can work out what a woman is, and he does identity as one, then this should be welcommed and celebrated. She'll have my support. And as an MP, she will probably become the prefect candidate- any refernce to her past actions or words would be deadnaming which is wrong and offensive. So we should only look forward. Skill, grace, intuition, style, sharp mind and knows how to use a comb The first Super-MP??

Very quiet couple of days from Sir Kier (believed identifies as a man). Has been criticised by Owen Jones (believed identifies as a man) for not sticking to his policies.

"most dishonest in British democratic history"

He might need a distraction, and with his usual cutting hindsight he might suggext we do more for the upcoming jubilee- maybe street parties (beer but not wine, obviously), maybe 2 bank holidays? A flypast. That sort of thing. Bunting can red red, white and blue as many EU countries have this, but not Union Jacks...

You're asking a bit there, not sure he's up to all that forward planning.

I hope it doesn't prove to be too difficult a task for him.

The same Owen Jones who called for us to leave the EU until it became Conservative policy and switched multiple times from being pro to anti Corbyn?

That seems to be how senior personnel involved in the Downing Street investigations did it - reports that many simply didn't complete the questionnaire.

Actual crayon there by the look of it.
Maybe Crayons herself will be filling her form in with something sharp - she’s allowed pencils and stuff now after the promotion.

It's a bit difficult when you've said being under police investigationis reason to resign.

Personally I don't care who had cake/beer/curry at a place of work.
