Those closing speeds on slower traffic look terrifying for UK roads.
Not unsafe per se - the car is capable, traffic light, conditions dry and visibility good - this is what a German autobahn looks like. The difference being that autobahn drivers expect high speed passes and actually (mostly) practice lane disciple / check their mirrors more than once before pulling out. UK drivers don't and rightly just wouldn't expect 150mph closing speed differentials...
So my original point stands - utter madness for the driver to put that trust into other drivers not to be part of a horrendous accident... At those speeds by the time you realise it's going wrong, many people are likely dead.

Most autobahn drivers probably don’t feel the need to drive that fast one handed whilst recording it on their mobile phone eitherNot unsafe per se - the car is capable, traffic light, conditions dry and visibility good - this is what a German autobahn looks like.
