Having tried quite a few foam ones, I can’t find any that feel comfortable after 30 minutes or so. I prefer solo rides and listening to music with interphone comms helmet speakers whilst riding. Have considered custom made ones but I am a tight git. Looking into the silicon type ones with a filter. Anyone used the eggz ones? Or are there better options? Cheers to all replies.

Shure SE215 earphones.

Block out enough sound that you can hear music or sat nav at low volume and for me, all day comfortable...

I’ve been using Senner MotoPro for a while now. They are comfortable, block out exhaust drone but allow you to still be aware of external noises.
I’ve used them with helmet comms for music and they work well. The sound is obviously muted, but still fine at motorway speeds.

I've been using Alpine MotoSafe Earplugs for the last year and no complaints. I had the "Tour" version, but now a little over a year later one of the little rubber bits to allow you to pull it out of your ear just sort of pinged off. I've replaced them with the same again but this time the "Race" version which give an extra few DBs of protection.

They've got the small hollow core to allow you to continue to use intercoms/speakers etc. while blocking a reasonable amount of surrounding noise.

Think they were £12.99 (at both sportsbikeshop and amazon, although I ended up ordering from amazon as the delivery was free)

Buy several of the foam / silicon type to try / multi packs (various on ebay)

I bought "the most comfortable silicone ear plugs" I couldn't wear them for 5 minutes - luckily a £2 experiment rather than a £20+ one.

I've found the firmer foam ones suit me better - I also melt a small pinhole in them to get enough noise in and stops the dead feeling, I have bought some of the DIY custom silicone to try but haven't got around to it (£10 ebay)

I use Auritech ear plugs with my Sena system. I find them comfy enough for long touring rides, and I can still hear say nav, music etc. I have an Arai helmet so that’s a little noisier then some but no problems.

As far as the foam ones go, I've found any that are marketed specifically as "comfortable" or "for bikers" have actually been the worst. Usually the tapered cone shaped ones. They rarely fit right and the noise attenuation is poor.

Whereas the simple, cheap, £3 for a huge bag 3M Classic cylindrical foam ones seem to do a great job at a) staying in, b) not being annoying, c) letting music from my Sena through whilst still blocking wind noise.

If you've already tried them then sorry for cluttering the thread, but if you've not then definitely worth a shot.
