So despite the whole country having social distancing, and the North East having extra lock down measures in place, earlier today in Newcastle City Centre I spotted a gathering of around 30 female students huddled together around a few tables indoors, laughing, drinking, having a meal together, in one of the city's trendy restaurants, in full view of the passing public.
No distancing, no masks, extremely unlikely to be same family. Didn't appear to be a quick bite to eat and out, looked like they were in for the afternoon.
How?
(and yes, the important PH duties, they were very pretty!)
Government stooges, seeing whether anyone will shop them :-) No distancing, no masks, extremely unlikely to be same family. Didn't appear to be a quick bite to eat and out, looked like they were in for the afternoon.

Fishy?, in what way?.
Key risk factors are obesity, diabetes and Vitamin d deficiency. Add to that BAME being twice as likely to catch it on average (from memory) due to the jobs they do.
Well If the Chinese had engineered a virus, it would not be unreasonable to assume that they would engineer a virus to be less fatal towards Chinese males.Key risk factors are obesity, diabetes and Vitamin d deficiency. Add to that BAME being twice as likely to catch it on average (from memory) due to the jobs they do.

Bodes well for our quarterly work day out next Saturday, there's only five of us No distancing, no masks, extremely unlikely to be same family. Didn't appear to be a quick bite to eat and out, looked like they were in for the afternoon.

Indeed it seems some Chinese women have be bought back to life... !!
Rubbish in, rubbish out ?
It's age-standardised, not an actual figure.Rubbish in, rubbish out ?
It's saying that fewer Chinese women that have contracted it are dying from it than you would expect if it was based on the whole population.
That doesn't exactly surprise me, to be honest. Chinese women tend not to smoke, the Chinese tend to eat quite healthily and when was the last time you saw an obese Chinese woman?

Kids not according to ONS but mass testing is responsible for spreading the virus.
Hate to tell you this but entitled pillocks that have no regard for a personal level of responsibility caused the increase in rate and you are part of the problem not the solution. I personally would have you shot as it may save cancer lives to not have you promoting anarchy.

But every covid hospital bed created by Smartypants is one less bed for a cancer patient.
Its about time he stood up and took some responsibility for killing people and dragging out the recovery of our economy that was going well until his antics fked it all up four weeks ago.
Just dipping my toe in, BBC news this morning ‘Merseyside to be under heavier lockdown’ because of...... 256 cases in 100 thousand!
At least half an hour of ‘experts’ & doomsayer philosophy, classic BBC.
Pictures of thousands of people kicked out from the bars at 10. More than normal of course, unintended consequences an all that.
People should be painting a Red Cross on their front door by now then shouldn’t they ......?
Firk me, 0.3 percent ....... fking ridiculous.

Stats don't lie man, from today ...
The age ranges hidden on the right are 75-79 and 85-89 with the last one blank but presumably 90+
No one is saying it is ok that I can see but surely you acknowledge that old people are more likely to die of *absolutely anything* vs young people? At what point and at what cost do you try and get "old deaths" down to almost zero? Plus if that is your aim what are you doing and where are all your tears for the many other causes of death of the elderly?
TX.
You would get a very similar result from a chart of Cancer, Heart deaths etc. The point is we have never discriminated against age for health related interventions and we should not start to do so now just to suit an agenda. The age ranges hidden on the right are 75-79 and 85-89 with the last one blank but presumably 90+

And lots of young people die because of it.
We can discriminate against the old and shield them, while the young get on with making money to keep the old.
We discriminate because it’s efficient.
Our stupid indiscriminate lock downs are costing everyone a fortune.
According to a very good friend who has a sister working in Manchester Royal Infirmary:
“My sister in Manchester just told me that you could call this a second wave but people don’t seem to be getting as sick with it. She reckons this will peak end of October. They are screening patients (other respiratory conditions), many positive with covid but no covid Symptoms. Very strange. Very few dying and many are recovering”
Let’s hope she’s correct and we will see the figures flatline from here on.
