There's an argument for providing free meals for all, full stop. Do breakfasts and it gets the kids there on time too.
It may be a socialist idea but I'd be up for a taxpayer funded school provision of a breakfast service before & lunch service during school, That's a different debate than Marcus R's voucher scheme thoughbhstewie said:
I bet we can all guess who won't be going hungry thanks to taxpayer subsidies.
I presume the mini steak and kidney pudding is for when a mini sirloin by itself couldn't possibly be enough.
I think the Tories got this horribly wrong.I presume the mini steak and kidney pudding is for when a mini sirloin by itself couldn't possibly be enough.
The sight of MPs earning a publically funded 82k + exs whilst enjoying subsidised food at the tax payers expense, telling minimum wage workers who have been ordered by them to stop work that they won't fund £2-3 per meal over half term is piss poor.

Indeed it is the politicians who no matter which party they support, are enjoying this at the taxpayers expense.I presume the mini steak and kidney pudding is for when a mini sirloin by itself couldn't possibly be enough.

She's worked as a care worker so understands the vulnerable and she's qualified in sign language so clearly cares enough. I'd say she has relevant experience.
I can only assume the 'pathetically low intelligence' comment comes from her thick accent unless there's evidence that you can present that shows she is intellectually challenged?
She left school with more babies than GCSEs, which tends not to be the sign of an advanced intellect.I can only assume the 'pathetically low intelligence' comment comes from her thick accent unless there's evidence that you can present that shows she is intellectually challenged?

I'd say starting out from that position and getting to where she is currently deserves respect and shows she has intellect, drive and ambition. I'd rather an MP with her experience represent me over someone who's gone the Eton > Oxbridge route and considers being Prime Minister their destiny.

5 kids. I suspect that the number of GCEs or equivalent is higher as Eton tends to not mess about.
The number isn't known because when asked Johnson won't answer it.I'm not a big fan of Angela Rayner but whatever you might think of her she does seem to have grafted to get herself to where she is.
It's fine making comments about single mothers and GCSEs but the man in charge of our country won't admit how many kids he has and has had numerous affairs.
It's also widely reported he tried to get an injunction to stop the existence of one of his children being reported.
Point being that I'm struggling to see why so many people have an issue with Rayner being a single mother.

It’s strange that on the Rashforth thread its full of people having a go at feckless parents, so why is rayner getting stick for making something out of her life?

Angela Rayner is correct, lets be honest.
handing out billions in Govt contracts to pals and party donors while refusing to feed the poorest kids, hell yeah, she was rightLuckily, the govt have their own person whose job it is to ensure there is no corruption in govt. I guess it will be his job to ensure everything is above board, and I'm sure he will do that fairly and independently, despite having a slight connection to Dido Harding, in so much as he is her husband.
Scum......it's a compliment. I would have gone with "fking corrupt scum", personally.

She's plainly as thick as mince without either the ability or the application required to gain a single qualification of note.
As a result she lacks empathy and much in the way of reasoning skills or critical thinking. She is plainly incapable of anytthing close to an extended logical thought process.
About the most unsuitable person for high office that I can think of. Heaven help us if she gets near it.

Have you ever listened to Priti Patel ? I appreciate the comparison is a sort of who is the thickest here ? But my money is on Patel.About the most unsuitable person for high office that I can think of. Heaven help us if she gets near it.
It's actually quite scary that someone so obviously unsuitable could hold the position of Home Secretary.
