Custard test has been called - prbably won't hear from that poster again.
He does seem to have gone very quiet now that specifics have been requested, doesn't he?

I'd bet money that he's more full of crap than the hair on a recently used Donald Trump Toilet Brush.

Not £5K though - I'm not stupid enough to believe that they're aren't people out there who are even more stupid than I could possibly imagine.

You'd think he'd at least go to the trouble of faking a betting slip for the custard test.

Wealthy was the other posters word. I used it in relative terms. But you keep rolling about.

Easy money to me.

Trump will win. Fact.
How much do you stand to win?

Suitably redacted betting slip, and the exact terms of the bet, or you have patently failed to abide by the terms of the PH Custard Code.

Put up or shut up.

Do I need to fake the winnings when Trump becomes POTUS for another 4 years?
Given that there is no sign of a betting slip or equivalent, yes, you would probably need to.

Tempted to put £100 on Biden, win win for me either way then... Although I'd rather lose £100 in this case.
...and if you win you can put the winnings in the Christmas pudding.

As said this morning, is it there are a number of said individuals who just like to troll, or is it that we have the same few returnees with multiple accounts?
Not sure, but they have in common an obvious intention to have a go at mild trolling. I actually would not be surprised if most of these accounts are actually just resurrections of Noneed, Down and Out, and maybe even funkycoldribena.

Not sure I remember it right, but there were a few PHers that called the impossible and were right.....

GoldenBoy telling people to invest in gold before the financial crash..... turned out right.

Was it TechieDave..... called Brexit when everyone thought it impossible.

Who called Trump the winner in 2016?

Paddy Power's odds on the next president:

Biden 2/5
Trump 15/8
Harris 150/1
Pence 250/1

Just in case anyone's interested, which I personally am not.

This is really quite simple.

You have a betting slip. Photograph it and post it.

Yep, definitely was called by some or all of those above. Doesn't make trump's election or subsequent 'presidency' any less surreal though.

A broken clock is right twice a day.

If you have hundreds of posters in a thread all guessing things will go different ways, then some of them will naturally be correct. It doesn't mean they have any greater insight than the others.

The question at hand isn't whether or not Trump will win - he might do, but most indications at present are that he probably won't.

Today's current topic is whether or not Argleton is lying about betting £5K on Trump to win, and what that tells you about this particular Trump enthusiast.

The lack of detail about the bet thus far from Argleton is tending to put him in "lying bullshcensoredtter" territory - and hence very much à la Trump - but he may yet come up with the goods.

Nor does it make them consistently correct.

How many people who predicted Brexit predicted we'd still be in the EU 4 years later? I recall most predicted we'd be out in 2017.

Trump and Brexit are the exception that proves the rule, people who predicted them were having their broken clock moment.

lol - so anyone that gets something right when the expectation is the opposite is having a broken clock moment - yeah right

Several people predicted that the negotiations would be protracted and bitter following the EU ref - I predicted we would never leave and it would be like Hotel California biggrin
